I would use the same shade as trim and perhaps consider painting that whole section to create a feeling of an entire built in.

For the walls, wondering if a lighter shade than Wind’s Breath might make the rooom feel lighter for more of a Scandinavian feel.

Paint will transform them and you will love it. I agree the dove white is the way to go. Love the idea of painting all of it to create a little nook of its own.

I think they will look good in the trim color.

I just learned that the trim in that room is a simple white semi gloss so would you paint the walls between the walls and under the seat a plain white but still a matte finish?

If you are not painting the trim in that room, I would try to match the existing white trim, and use that instead of the white dove.

You have all convinced me that we should do white similar to the trim. I am not planning to change the trim color so it will just be a standard white. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and photos!

@Maureen, I have asked my painter to start with the hallway so I can see how dark winds breath looks on a larger surface before committing to it in the family and living rooms!

Remember paint can look different in various rooms and at different times of the day. You could test say 2x2 feet in the two rooms. Good luck.

Upgrade your lighting before you make any final decisions on color. Many here advise 4000K LEDs, but you need to try out some light changes and pick one you like before you settle on any colors of paint.
