I have a white engineered quartz countertop in my small bathroom. No issues, looks good, easy cleanup with dish soap and water

What color cabinets are you planning?

We are doing hale navy on bottom and simply white on top! Will look similar to this

Have you already made a decision? I saw a beautiful kitchen by Sarah Richardson with Caesarstone Pure White Countertops. The perimeter cabinets were all BM Chantilly Lace and some other cabinets were BM Wolf Gray (which looks like a dark grayish blue). I'm wondering if I could get away with white cabinets with pure white quartz for both the counter and the backsplash. I'm trying to avoid grout and haven't found a quartz pattern that I like.

Would anyone use the Pure White quartz as the backsplash?

@lenorae11 We have the all white quartz on white semi-Shaker cabinets for our island, but added color via a large-format blue glass tile backsplash and a pale blue grey paint. I hate grout too, so I went with an epoxy grout for all tiling, which dries into a nonporous resin that requires no sealing and doesn't mildew/stain easily.

I get that epoxy grout is harder to work with and more expensive at first, but I don't know why there aren't more people using it. Who actually cleans and seals their regular sand grout every year???

That looks really nice! We have epoxy grout in our shower, but it wasn’t installed perfectly. Supposedly, it’s a learning process to install it well. Later we were told that there are other non-sand grouts that don’t stain easily. I might end up with tile, but I’d love to have a smooth quartz backsplash. Once I see the cost estimate, I might see that that isn’t an option.

Another option is to use large format porcelain tile, which can be as small as 12x24, 24x48 or as large as 48x60 and even 60x120+ inches. I didn’t know that porcelain could look so good now that they can be glossy or matte and come in different colors or patterns, including all white or marble or geometric. Have you seen these at places like Floor & Decor?

Love white quartz and was thinking of going with that but am scared to. I heard it can stain verses granite.

I would love to have white quartz in my kitchen, but so afraid of staining, even though I always wipe the counters. Also, afraid of hot pots. I am on the hunt for the whitest granite I can find, that is not too busy - this is tough.

There are several reasons Glacier White Corian has been a kitchen favorite for over 50 years. It does not stain. It is impervious to heat when trivets are used, the same trivets required by engineered stone manufacturers and the Natural Stone Institute. It is white-white and stays that way, especially the seams, unlike the alternatives.

@imsuzz can you share what color your cabinets are, backsplash tile and wall color? I love everyhing about your kitchen.

I'm nervous that the marble wannabe look will be dated soon. I have marble in the bathroom (or dolomite, or whatever, and I'm over it).

I am in the same situation. I have all white cabinets and am considering artic white quartz countertops with no veins. I'm afraid it may be to stark?

There is so much talk about kitchens and fears of them being “ dated” soon after they are renovated. If you choose what you love, that is what matters. You should have a feeling of joy when you walk into your newly renovated kitchen! It should put a smile on your face when you enter it! I chose elements I loved for my kitchen renovation. I got my inspiration for gray Shaker styled kitchen cabinetry from a lovely trip to Colonial Williamsburg Virginia. I chose Silestone soapstone quartz for my counters; it reminds me of my college chemistry and microbiogy lab soapstone counters.
