Anyone have any experience with these?
Comments (3)I have Princess Alexandra of Kent. Only put it in about 3 months ago. So far it is an incredible plant. The flowers are large, a beautiful color and deliciously fragrant. I'd highly recommend it. The other rose you mention is unfamiliar to me....See MoreAnyone have first hand experience with Nigel Hawthorne rose?
Comments (1)buy it - I am mad for hulthemias and have this on order myself - I already have a couple of other Harkness hulthemias and a terrific lavender one. They are not terribly keen on lots of winter rain and they can also be a little bit prone to bs. However, they are so unique, i would even spray if I had to. I think Mr.Moore started to use them in hybridising and there is a chap, Jim Sproul, on the hybridisers forum who knows them well. I had to order mine especially, since Harkness only grow a few of the first lot of hulthemias (Euphrates, NH, Tigris) and they are not advertised but I know Heirloom do carry Harkness roses and may even be getting a couple of the new ones (my latest is 'Alissar, Princess of Phoenicia')...See MoreAnyone have experience with Downton Abbey roses?
Comments (16)I bought Ediths Darling & Violets Pride about 6 weeks ago, So far VP is a blooming machine with great fragrance. ED not as quick to repeat, only slightly fragrant. Both are in big pots and no diseases so far. Other roses in our yard are suffering black spot and mildew because of the drizzle. Bought Pretty Lady 2 days ago so not much to report except healthy looks....See MoreDoes anyone have experience with these roses?
Comments (32)@lucianob2022 My BN is very healthy but it would be best to check nurseries or rose societies in your area to be safe. I have grown BN as a gorgeous, medium large, free standing shrub. It could just be deadheaded (it’s a bloom machine) and pruned annually for shape and size. It’s not a big Noisette. Definitely shrubby, even as a climber. Carol...See MoreKrista_5NY
