Comments (12)I'm not sure how to link but try searching "utensil rail." Someone posted a link to Lee Valley for utensil rails (not pot racks) but everything was Canadian and my brain fried trying to convert 600mm. In any case, the pot rack specialist sites have a much larger selection. I think for space and aesthetic reasons I will just stick to a utensil rail with maybe a tiny shelf above it for salt, pepper, other essentials. The sites are http://www.pot-racks-online.com/, www.potracksource.com, and www.potracksgalore.com. HTH....See MoreShow me your porch pots/planters!
Comments (56)Ajc, I just ordered some copper and black (Smith and Hawken) planters from Target online. Anxiously waiting to see if I like them when they arrive...the ones I ordered are square -- a copper pot inside a black stand/frame. The small size was around 14" square which, when I measured on my small front stoop, was pretty big. They have two larger sizes too, I think. I struggle with containers and plants outside, too. Never feel like I get it right! And I only have a tiny stoop to work with! Good luck! Just throwing this out -- I wonder if you'd consider a tall metal sculpture of some kind instead of a plant? Just a thought......See MoreYour favorite perennials in pots?
Comments (57)This container is going into its 4th year - Coprosma 'Tequila Sunrise', heuchera (possibly 'Root Beer') and orange sedge, Carex testacea. The coprosma is not showing its best color as my garden just does not have enough sun :-( btw, the small black pot to the bottom left is Cuphea 'Vermillionaire', which was also in a container and was looking good (and still blooming!!) until we hit a sharp cold snap in late January. I was convinced it was dead and was repotting with fresh stock when I discovered it was still alive at the roots and producing some tiny new growth!! Both the coprosma and cuphea are of marginal hardiness in my climate.......I am surprised they have lasted so long....See MoreShow us some of your favorite pots or containers
Comments (189)Wow, so many lovely pots and plants. Nanzjade those are awesome, I would love to see them planted. Jeff that is very cute, i might have to get myself some. A pot my mum gave me, planted with mint that I have since moved elsewhere. Recently planted with kalanchoe rotundifolia: I caught this pot of aloe and kalanchoe in rather striking sunshine today. My Nanna gave me the pot filled with garlic chives. It was an unfortunate shade of green. The garlic chives are now happy in the ground, and the pot has been repainted, though a little of the former shade shows through, which I like: This is Styrofoam and was packaging for bathroom shelving, I think. There is even a readymade drainage hole in each section. I painted them, of course. I have four of these....See Morerouge21_gw (CDN Z5b/6a)
