You have a great space to relax, wonderful solitude. It’s unfortunate that settling has occurred.

We installed pavers to improve self draining. Ours measures 24x26 plus an 8x12 area where once was a hot tub.

Wow your backyard is BEAUTIFUL! I love how you subtlety divided up each space, but still kept a flow to everything. Even right down to tucking the grill away. Definitely going to implement the same concept into our space, thank you!

How do you like the pavers? I am thinking of going that route instead, so that any future problems are more easily resolved by the ability to remove pavers and replace instead of ripping up a whole slab of concrete 😖😖

We like the pavers and occassionally have needed to adjust a few - primarily due to tree roots. The property began as dirt when we built in ’95/‘96. So, time is your ally with any landscaping. The patio was built in ’98 as a DIY project. Took all summer.

My speculation is that your settling is a consequence of backfill not having been compacted before the concrete was poured. That is no longer an issue. So for speed and expense you might want to consider a stamped/stained concrete patio. Speak with a qualified concrete installer.
