It looks a bit overwatered, as commonly happens in places like Lowe's and Home Depot. Pull it out of the soil, let it dry, and repot it when the new soil mix arrives. After repotting, don't water it for a while in order for it to get accustomed to its new soil. If the coloration of the stem doesn't improve, snip at a place where it's still firm and healthy, and replant the cutting. Firstly, let the cutting dry out for a few days.

Was the plant possibly over watered? I bought two bantels from Walmart in the spring that were literally setting in a swamp. They had so much water in them that I had to pour it out in the parking lot before I put them in my car. When I got home I took them out and removed all the soil they were in, which was just basically mud at that point. I left them on newspaper for two or three days to dry out and then repotted them. They have done find ever sense. I would check the roots for rot since you have one leaf that looks mushy. Luckily, I didn’t have any mushy leaves on mine but I did have quite few leaves that were damaged and or dried out looking so I just cut those off. If you have mush I would remove the leaf and check the roots but maybe see what others say. I don’t have a tone of experience with them. From what I understand too it is really easy to damage the leaves of these plants and they can start looking quite rough if they set in the store and get handled a lot. A few months after I got the two I have I saw some more in Wal-Mart and they were perfect, beautiful and quite healthy. The next time I went in Wal-Mart they were so beat up they didn’t look like the same plants at all. Most of what your pictures show just looks like damage from handling. I would be concerned mostly about any mush or that they might have been overwatered in HD. Good luck and I do believe you can save it if it has not gotten too far gone. I really like mine and they have been just fine since I saved them from the swamp they were living in.

Unfortunately, with such a strong color, that rug is always going to be in your face and look out of proportion. Sometimes less is more. IMO, you have too many pillows already. But that said, why not find a rug that has 3 or more colors in it. Then you can use those colors over and over with accessories to balance out the room. See how the colors in this rug are repeated on the sofa? Also, even the rug in this picture is IMO, a little small, ideally, you want the rug to be large enough that the fronts of your furniture sit on it. Again, in this picture you can see where the colors are repeated. The red is played down, it’s there and it’s pretty but it isn’t so much in your face so the room is more neutral.

The green fence was to keep rabbits out of my raised garden but it actually helped the vine grow out of the garden and start moving across my area of Ice plant. I thought I had bought regular pumpkin seeds but when it started getting big i went back and look at the seed packet. It read Atlantic Giant. My neighbors love seeing get bigger and bigger and keep laughing.
