Change the floor, the backsplash, the range hood, the black crown molding and probably the counters. Leave the cabinets alone because they are the one feature worth keeping.

It will cost a medium-sized fortune to get those properly — i.e., professionally — painted. Absolutely agree with ci_lantro. They look to be of good quality and wood is very popular now. I would rip out all else. Not a huge fan of the multicolor planks but that tile has gotta go, yes. The black crown is bad. The backsplash is dated. The countertops could be worked with, but I would prefer a soft, light quartz. LG Viatera makes Clarino, a creamy white with subtle, warm veining that would look great. Great space and nice layout. Congrats on a new home!

Very true, re-coloring would be very costly. I agree, multi-colored planks wouldn’t have been my first choice, but since it’s what’s there, I’ll just keep the same. Thanks for the input!

I agree with Ci_lantro’s comment. Besides the backsplash, it’s the counters that jump out at me as dated and too dark and top of the list to change. The black crown molding is not good, but idk how you’d fix that.

The cabinets look awesome. I think @JustDoIt has an awesome suggestion. The black subway with the black granite…dynamite! IMO dark countertops look better with the wood tones of these cabinets. And the black subway will really make them pop!
