Every day the number of daylilies blooming goes up. It's so exciting.

Buddy's Betsy finally made an appearance. It usually vies with Lava Flow to be the first, but they were both beaten this year.

Lava Flow is blooming today too.

Stoke the Fire is blooming on a leftover rebloom scapes, but the regular scapes are up too and close to blooming.

Time in a Bottle is usually early too.

The seedlings are in the next comment.

Bob opted for this one as seedling queen. It's amazing since he had several oranges ones to choose from but he chose red.

This is Rosie Cotton's Ribbons X Love All Serve All.

This one is Lava Flow X Gary Lynn's Calliopsis. It is a third year seedling and will be getting a blue ribbon, which means it is a keeper. It has a good scape and the flower is large.

This flower is rather nice, but I think there is a mistake on the parentage. The tag says Smoke Shadows X Geometric Wizard, but I don't see how it could be that.

This is my favorite today among the patterned ones. This is Geometric Wizard X Time in a Bottle. This is its first flower ever.

This is a large, very flat flower. It is Buddy's Betsy X Stoke the Fire.

We planted some martagon lilies last year and we love them.

I am a fan of orange daylilies, so I like Buddy's Betsy. Lava Flow is always such a pretty color and Stoke The Fire looks good too. A;ways a hooray when blooming increases.

Sherry, I have fertilized ND only a very few times and still she goes on. Yes, Lilykte, and I don't even know how many I have ready to bloom, but I can tell that Black Fathom Depths and Clow Parade are on track to have a fabulous year with all the bloom spikes they have put up. Ditto Hearts of Fire and Betty Ford.

Just in case there was some confusion, Solaris Symmetry is an intro by Bremer back in 2009; I purchased it last year from Sun Dragon Daylilies. I will say that the plants I got from Brian Reeder have blooms 1-1/2" bigger and are taller than the registered size. S. S. (in my garden at any rate) is also taller than Destined to See and Raspberry Quasar. It really stands out! Kate, I do love the veining in your NOID and hope I can incorporate it in some crosses. Dick, I need to check out what you've said about thrips. I'm assuming that's what causes the bumps, some deformities and splotching. Now I'll see if I can get another pic to post. Here's the first of the Rose F Kennedy x Heavenly Angel Ice seedlings, from the older seed you'd sent me, Laura. When I first germinated them, they were slow and stayed fairly small even up till planting time. But once in the ground, they did well. There are 8 in all; this one is fairly tall and has a 7-5/8" bloom. I wonder what the others will look like?

Thanks! Yes, Mister Monopoly really is in your face with the color and the size too. I really like it, I got it two years ago and it is shining this year. Miss Demeanor, I think I mentioned in the past in a comment somewhere, took a while to get established here, got at the same time as Mister M. It seems to be doing better this year, not as robust as others. Jolly Uncle Jelly is the same way here, not that robust but seems to be settling in finally. Nancy, I think those are the only two that haven't done great from the get-go for me. Kate, Heartbeat Of Heaven has different colors here depending on temps and precip, I think. It's been a lot lighter at times, but was darker yesterday and today. Sherry, I really love Soli Deo Gloria... so much that I bought it twice (in 2015 and 2016), as it was not increasing since I kept setting pods on it. I eased up on that last year and this year. The first blooms are splotchy for me, but after that, WOW. I have some nice taller seedlings that I like that I made with it... also some that are short also (SDG is a bit short). Debra, my sale from the classifieds is going okay, only three sales so far. I have a lot more sales from my private sale that I have for some of my previous customers (some of you know who you are! :) ), although fewer orders than in the spring. I'm going to put up another ad in the classifieds probably early next week that will be a subset of the private sale, things that are easy for me to dig or that I'm hoping to downsize. I have 10 pots with plants to get in the ground next month and some more coming too - oops! Thanks again for looking and commenting!

Buddy's Betsy is so bright and cheery. Seedlings all look good to me. The martagon lilies are very pretty. I plan to add bulbs here in the fall.

Stoke the Fire is my favorite, I do like your seedlings. I think my favorite seedlings are the 4th and 5th ones. I love Martavon lilies, I have a couple but I need more after seeing

The first group of registered daylilies is bright and beautiful. Of the seedlings, Geometric Wizard X Time in a Bottle is my favorite. The Rosie Cotton's Ribbons kid is a lovely shade of red.

It was a day for bright blooms apparently! Looks like you got rain as well!! These are all bright and prett. Lava Flow is intense, isn’t it? The seedlings look good-looks like a good group this year!
