Hosta help with an identification
Comments (5)Posted the site with the picture. Please keep in mind that the camera has picked up the color of the leaf center as whitish. It isn't. The center is a bright lime green with the two tone margins. Here is a link that might be useful: Hosta ID...See Morehosta identification

Comments (7)HI, I looked at your leaf. Frankly, I probably couldn't id it if I saw the whole plant. However, the people who can id it need more than a leaf to id it. Take a photo of the whole plant with some kind of marker so that they can tell how big the leaves are and how large the plant it. Some use a coke can, some use a ruler, some use a pen - just something that can act as a marker to size. Just lay it on the plant and take a photo. Also, seeing the flower will help. If your photo doesn't show it, count the number of veins on one side of the leaf. If you can, photograph the underside of the leaf. There are thousands of hosta, so the more info the "old" hands have, the more likely they can give you an id. On the holes, they need to see that too. It could be nematodes. It could be slugs. They just need to see it. Good luck and welcome to the hosta forum. bkay...See MoreIdentification of Large, Older Hostas
Comments (28)@Garcanad: Those blooms look right. Maybe the lavender color is almost undetectable except next to a pure white bloom. Unless someone can find another giant hosta with the same leaf pattern that was released before 2002, I'm feeling pretty confident that it's Earth Angel. As for the green one, some blooms should open soon. I will post new pictures and see if that narrows it down....See Moredjacob Z6a SE WI
