I agree that a corner sink is the best solution. Better yet, if you have the space, there are some great little corner vanities. If you click on the link, this is just one I randomly selected, but it has a corner mounted medicine cabinet that would solve the mirror problem. Then you could light the whole bathroom by sconces mounted on either side. Is there really no way to mount your sink in the center, and run the plumbing horizontally for a few inches to meet up with the existing pipes? That seems odd, because the drain pipe from your sink normally doesn't have to run straight down. Here is a link that might be useful: corner vanity

bh401- If and when the teak flooring fails we will reno the reno. But since the kitchen was only done 1.5 years ago, I'll live with it for now. But it has changed my mind about continuing the wood flooring into the entry/hall. I'm thinking tile for sure. braider- I know the side drawers will probably not happen but that's the dream I have at the moment. I hate the wasted space with the two doors on each vanity (our current setup). I've never been able to organize it to the max. I'm still thinking the 34" will be way better than what we have now and that's 30.5" which I have no complaints about. I am just trying to help hubby's back out a little. Can not door one mirror over the whole space. I won't give up my window. It's one of the only windows that allows me to look out towards my driveway. Plus I enjoy the natural light. Actually the flooring will be dark wood look with white/creamy cabinets. Countertop will either be a creamy white granite or blue pearl. I can't decide for sure on the blue pearl as I worry about it being to dark and showing smudges and dust. Sinks will probably be self rimming not undermounts and chrome fixtures and lighting for the glam. But I appreciate your vision. The window treatment is something that I am completely out of my element on. With it being an arched top window and so small it's hard to cover without making it look like just a regular square window.

I never even thought of an up-light fixture. That could certainly add a nice ambiance when task lights aren't needed. I will play with that idea. Thanks! Yeah, I figured you didn't notice the window issue, lol. I was thinking about mid-point between wall and edge of counter and tried to center my little circles to show that. 10" from counter makes sense, too. I've never heard an exact placement so I was guessing. It seems that so many lighting plans I look at have the light fixture half on the counter and half off into the aisle and this makes no sense to me as your head would be blocking the light. We are going with the flush mounts as we have a weird ceiling issue. We have a false ceiling of of 1/4" plywood, then 4" gap, then another ceiling of 3/4" plywood. Directly above that is the attic which has about 15" of loose insulation in it that has never been disturbed. We don't wish to disturb it now. My DH says it will be a lot easier to cut holes in the false ceiling and then pull/fish the wires up the wall (breaker box is in the garage below) than to have to cut through the 3/4" plywood and line up both holes correctly in both ceilings. Makes sense to me. I think the flush mounts look fine and really don't drop down much more than the decorative edge for the can lights. I have also read that they tend to have greater coverage as the light is lower than the ceiling and shines out from the rounded edge of the light, where it meets up with the rim, instead of being more recessed and, thus, a bit shaded on the edge. Not sure if that's accurate or not but it makes sense to me, too. Do you know anything about the flush-mount LEDs that I should be concerned about? Thanks again for your help.

Hopefully the pros will weigh in on the effective distance between sconces, but in the mean time, here's a pic of an off center sink with a wide mirror and sconces. Looks good to me. The sconces are larger than the ones you've shown so maybe that's the way to get more light when the sconces are spaced farther apart. Also, visually, the longer sconces look better to me. Re: the smaller sink, for my eye it's more important to center for the space between the wall and window trim vs. the vanity. Your photo shopped example looks good to me.
