Has anyone purchased Roller shades recently?

We have about 30 windows in our new construction home. I had linen look roller shades in our prior home and really liked them. I bought those through Smith and Noble. Their prices have doubled! So I am considering Levolor , through Lowes. I would love to hear anyone's experience about this , or other brand roller shades. Thank You!

I like solar roller shades to control heat and UV rays and let me keep the view I usually get them from Steves blinds I like 10% either bronze or charcoal and the prices are very good. Then I just add drapes where I need nightime privacy .

I've gotten custom Bali brand sun shades through both Home Depot and Lowes. They send a person out to measure and install. I saved a lot of money, and would use either again if they have what I want. You can get the prices online too, and wait for. a sale to get a percentage off (sales on custom blinds used to be pretty often a few years ago, not sure if pandemic would affect supply and sales).

The states have been cracking down on this because : 1: Not only does the retailer that pays taxes to that state lose out on a sale. But the state itself loses as well. 2. Local retailers have become showrooms for all the North Carolina & internet discounters. These retailers (that pay for heat, lights, Health Insurance for employees etc.) have been going out of business or suffering from lack of business. This is a way to help even the playing field for these local stores.

Has anyone recently purchased from Kraftmaid outlet?

There is a guy that will go to the outlet and purchase all of the cabinets for a fee. He will store in his garage and then you can pick them up. Also, you may be able to purchase from eBay. I am thinking about going that option.

Has anyone purchased a Codel entry door recently?

I went with a custom order Codel door in Cinnamon. Expect a loong lead time! I ordered my door from Home Depot in Dec 2021. Arrived Feb 2022 custom built and stained in Tacoma. Installers were not available and had to wait another month while door sat in garage which sucked. Build quality and feel is excellent. I purchased a $200+ Thermatrue fiberglass door off the shelf for my garage entrance. This $2k+ fiberglass door is almost 3x the weight. The packaging was much better than Thermatrue so there was no damage during delivery. There were some dark smudges that might be staining overspray near the top where the insulation hits the door but not noticeable when door is closed. The peep hole was not necessary as the obscured glass is still peekable. The installation trim details could have been improved. The height of the exterior trip sits below my siding depth...a tad sloppy. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

Hey There: It depends a bit on your budget you have for all the shades. Roller shades are the least expensive option for any window covering - they are available in hundreds of fabrics and can be all custom made for a perfect fit. Im in the same boat, prices have gone up and theres like a dozen of these "cheap blinds.com" sites... decisions decisions. best of luck

I am looking at Selectblinds or I will just to go Home Depot and hope for a sale lol
