exterior help: how to cover up vapor barrier on foundation?

This is a portion of our house. There is a mound of dirt under this window that’s housing some bushes. It’s probably over a foot tall on the edges and about 18-24 inches tall in the middle. The brick is yellow and siding is a light blue. Unfortunately, the foundation that’s hidden by the dirt has a black vapor barrier paint on it. We don’t know how to make this all look good. Some options (all will include updated plants, also tomorrow we paint the shutters navy):

  1. Stain the brick gray and do a gray retaining wall to keep hiding the black barrier.
  2. Keep brick the same and add a gray retaining wall.
  3. Get rid of the mound and add stone onto the foundation. Not sure on what color should be used.
  4. Get rid of mound, add stone to foundation, and stain the brick.
  5. Or is there a way to get rid of this vapor barrier paint??

Thank you!
