One of my favourite places to go for walks is along abandoned railway beds in the woods. Over the years, I’ve found old date nails on the ground. I started nailing them into a wooden pillar in my yard.

Oh, and horseshoes, too.

Interesting...never knew about date nails...

(They were put in railroad ties to identify the year the tie was put down)
