Tile backsplash for Pental Quartz’s Venatino
I am trying to choose the tile backsplash for my kitchen where I will have Venatino by Pental Quartz for my countertops (except the island which will be butcher block). Has anyone paired white tile with this countertop? As you know, not all whites are equal (see the pic of the countertop next to a white paper). Venatino has gray veining but its white has a hint of yellow to it. I have a couple of tile samples that appear to go well with the countertop. One is the Zellige tile by Marazzi in gesso. From what I can see this one appears to have subtle variations of warm and cool whites, so it works with a lot. But this is a spendy option.
The other is Cloe tile by Bedrosians. My small sample appears to match well but in some online images, the tile color variation appears soft and warm (love this) and in others it appears more gray and starkly color blocking (not my fav). Anyone know more than I do? Other tile suggestions? Ways to pull the warmth in Cloe tile?
I am also looking at wall and cabinet whites, so I will take any and all suggestions! 😅

2 years agoHi Andrea! Our home should be finished end of summer so I don't have a photo of anything completed. However, we have purchased tile and some paint ”samples” from Samplize (you should check them out—money saver for sure!). I can share some photos of our pairings.
Yes, still going with Pental Quartz’s Venatino. When I compare it to paint samples, it is a closest match to Benjamin Moore’s White Dove when they are both flat (a bit different when the paint sample is upright like a wall—but I think it works well.).
We splurged on the 2x6 Snow White Zellige tile by Riad Tile since we only have a small amount going in.
Above is Benjamin Moore’s White Dove with the Snow White Zellige tile, the Venatino quartz countertop, and Sherwin Williams’ Accessible Beige for cabinets.
This photo shows Sherwin Williams’ Pure White with the tile and quartz, and the basic color of our flooring.

Comments (268)I find it interesting that in an earlier comment it was mentioned that the slabs are stored outside. However immediately below is an answer from QM about whether their quartz can be used outside. I don't believe 93% quartz and 7% resin is the amount used in Breton technology. When I spoke to another company which makes quartz in China, I was told that they use the Samsung method and that it is not heated to the high degree that the Breton technology uses. I chose not to purchase the quartz made in China. Can Quartz Master be used outdoors? Please note that outdoor use of our products is not covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Comments (42)Hi Sharon - the bathroom cabinets are white and my original feeling was that a marble might clash with the floor. The marbles that our fabricator had in stock would not work so well. But, another stone yard that they deal with (OHM Intl. in NJ) sent me some pictures of Venetino and said that it has an overall grey background with deep grey veining. I think this may actually work because of the overall grey tone, it will separate itself from the floor that is a white background with grey veining. Below are the pictures - opinions are welcome. Comments (69)Hi, I love London Grey, but I have white formica counters right now and they show EVERYTHING! I hate them and am chaing them out. For those that have LG, is the slightly gray background and marbling enough to hide dirt and food decently? Or does it show every little thing? Comments (63)jpdunlop- My post above has an old link to the NY Times with plenty of articles on Chinese products and recalls. Let's not pretend that Chinese manufacturing practices are the same as in the US, or the products they use to produce these cheap as possible goods have vigorous safety standards. Does the US produce junk? Of course- every country does. But no other country seems to produce as much "unsafe" junk as China. Of course it's up to the individual, and based on how popular Walmart and it's ilk are, we'll continue to import the crappiest of the crap, because we want the cheapest of the cheap, and just take our chances. 2 years agoI don’t have a good photo of the beam unfortunately. We dropped a support beam 6” and then wrapped it with nicer wood. It creates visual separation between the kitchen and dining room.
