Are you adding trim molding? I like color on the ceiling, esp if it's vaulted. So I would paint manchester tan on all but the accent wall and continue it up around the angled part of the ceiling on all sides. Then paint the accent wall the greenbrier beige and paint the flat part of the ceiling the same color. It would look great if you have molding to break up the areas painted in the simply white to offset the areas. That may be too much for you so you can just paint the simply white on the flat and angled portions of the ceiling and then paint the walls manchester tan with the greenbriar beige accent. I'd suggest going to houzz.com and searching on tray ceilings so you can get some ideas of how they are treated with paint.

Thanks everyone! My struggle is that I worry if I hang drapes between windows can appear "squatty" as torreykm mentioned. Although the ceiling is vaulted but the rooms are on the small size, that's why I am concern. I do love the dining room small windows too! I like the idea of roman shades for the two small windows! I will look into those. Maybe I will get roman shades for the living area as well if I can find one that I like so that it will tie to those two small windows! Got some roman shades research to do!! I am in agreement with others...I like the white walls. I might suggest changing the beams and perhaps wrapping them in a barn wood, grey stain, or natural wood color similar to the window shade. I would move the console table to the other side of the fireplace. If the small pictures must stay I would then center them over the table. The sculptured hand is whimsical looking like it is holding up the ceiling. Cute idea but could also be interpreted as a bit creepy. I can't see the full picture of the end table to the left arm of the couch but think it would display nicely in front of the couch and the glass one in it's place. I love the feel of your home. Your back splash, color of flooring and paint are perfect. A lovey, cozy home. I apologize for getting carried away with post when you were simply asking about wall color. Best wishes.

can't picture current kitchen or eventual space from glimpses through doorways. also, not sure what you are asking -- how to design the whole kitchen, or how to deal with cabinets on a wall with a sloped ceiling? 1) ignore the slope, and let it just be far above the cabinets 2) fill the extra space with shelves 3) Stagger cabinets but don't fill space to vault 4) pick a height and soffit down to it 5) fill the vault to ceiling with custom cabinets So, the right answer depends a bit on the size of the vault, the style of your kitchen, budget, and personal preference.
