Need ideas for new cabinets, ceilings will be removed & vaulted
I want the cabinets built into a soffit as I don't like the idea of just cabinets floating with large vault/slanted over cabinets and stove.. ALL Walls will be removed and ceilings VAULTED... Refrigerator will be moved where pantry is. Island will be in middle of room. How would you design cabinets on the wall with the vaulted/slant ceiling...?? We are looking to go Farmhouse w/ white, white quartz tops and white custom built hood.
last photo is our first drawing of wall with vault ceiling. I don‘t like The stagger cabinets too busy. The white photos is what I would love my dream kitchen to look like 😉

We’ve replaced the whole window bottom and half moon once because the seal broke on the half moon due to the hot sun shining on the half moon and rotting the window frame. Then we just replaced the half moon part with new glass and that room gets unbearably hot or cold now. We can’t pick up our house and turn it. lol I’m not sure what to do to fix this. The builder should have never put that half moon window on the house. Only a regular two panel window. Comments (8)No I really don't want to texture the ceiling, but it is my understanding that getting that nice smooth finish on a ceiling adds a lot to the cost if you just remove the popcorn and have to deal with a not so great surface that is left after popcorn removal. So, you are suggesting that we instead just install a new 1/4" layer of sheetrock on top of what is already there. Correct? Comments (12)I would suggest you try to go to a couple of homes with vaulted ceiling additions, they distort noise add huge $$$ to heating and cooling add problems with lighting the spaces below and IMO for no real benefit .Also if this is an architect you are working with that is who shows you what it will look like not us.You have been here before with dilemmas about this house maybe you should go back and read some of those too.I will say from the exterior elevation that vaulted addition looks bad....See MoreWant to vault ceiling - Need Truss modification help/ideas
Comments (3)You may not alter the bottom chord of the trusses or the roof will fail. It is possible for an engineer to redesign the trusses, but it would probably require enough framing and care in the connections that it would be more $ wise and easier to just top off the roof and stick build....See More

I think this looks fine. doing a soffit w/this vault would look silly.
a lot depends on the size of the vault, the direction, the overall room size, kitchen size and most importantly, the style kitchen you're after.I suggest you peruse through pics of vaulted kitchens and see what look applies to your home. based on the info provided, we really can't give much guidance
these two have some built in soffits in specific spots

1) ignore the slope, and let it just be far above the cabinets
