You have to much gray, not brown. :-)) Are you going to paint cedar planks?

Thanks for your comments. The cedar is not real cedar it is vinyl that looks like cedar so that has to stay. All the soffits and facia are going to be painted and the new wood storm windows that will be made as well as the outside of the interior wood windows all that is currently chocolate brown. Porch railing too has to be painted.

The stone, the brick and the vinyl shake are all competing w/each other. I see browns/reds on the brick, grays/charcoal and silver on the flagstone, and a blue/gray vinyl shake. Oh, and I just noticed the creams/taupe-gray stone work under the window!!

you have cool tones, warm tones and then the creamy whites.

Hello there did you mean painting the brick all around the house that built the main floor or did you mean the stone that was added below the bay window?

I meant the brick. But to be honest, the stone under that one portion of the window just looks out of place. was it added at some point? Is it anywhere else on the home?

you could lime wash the brick. this is interesting how they've done it here, and paired it black, not brown, trim. But keep reading for Tudor details.

It's a Tudor style, yes? (i'd pull these ball shrubs too. once they grow in it's going to look overgrown)

I'd remove that shake and do something like this, while white washing the brick

I found one similar home w/brick and the shake on the and story. look at this one. but you see how the color of the shake in the gable matches the tone of the brick? then look at the flagstone pathway. those tones also match both of the other elements.

Instead of those shakes being that blue gray color, you could replace them w/the cedar shake, just like this. These would match perfectly w/your brick.

see? tried to photo shop it for you. much better. Get a new porch light, and I'd prob whitewash you flagstone steps. I gave you a gothic style light, and a darker front door color. that medium brown doesn't work. try Iron Ore or Peppercorn

Here's one w/similar color brick, but look at the flagstone around the door. it's the same tones.

And the upper portion is stucco and wood trim, not the shake.

This is more of an updated tudor style home.

Thanks Beth for sure the stone detail underneath the bay window was added later. The shrubs grow and flowers grow there too abd it covers up that not period style stone.

people have problems with squirrels and such damaging the cedar shake is why i believe the previous owner put up the vinyl shake. I was thinking of these colours to paint To change it up. What do you think?

Thanks again Beth. Schoolhouse red and venetian shutter green are the two colours Holland lac from fine paints of Europe. I have to keep the vinyl cedar shake. I am going to replace the light fixture for sure I hate the existing one.

FPofE can tint their colors to any BM color. I've used their Eco line and had it tinted.

is there a reason why you're using the most expensive paint ?
