need design advice on color of solid wood doors and trim

We're in the process of updating our first floor from a very traditional 2000 custom build to a more modern simple style. We have our new cabinets installed but now it's unbearable with the red stained oak. Replacing the casings and doors are not an option for us. Therefore, I really need help on how to address them. Here are a few thoughts:
1. Keep all trim, including base and paint white. Doors??????
2. Paint all casings white and replace base with a simple flat base? or a simpler version of original? (see photos) Doors??
3. Stain all casings, base and doors a new color??? What color would go with the new cabinets?
4. Can someone tell me the process needed to refinish the doors and color they recommend?
The cherry stairway is off the dining room.
I have existing dining room furniture in black and brown woods. The entire kitchen and family room will be new furniture.
I appreciate all critiques as well as advice.
Thank you.
