where to plant japanese blueberry between 2 tall queen palms near pool

I wish a tree to cover the gap between the 2 tall queen palms behind my swimming pool, bounded by the wood fence. There is about 8ft lateral gap and 8+ ft fence from fence depth. I love the looks of a japanese blueberry tree; the growing height is nice, but I am concerned about the lateral growth. Will the branches surround the palm trunks? Are the roots invasive, ie, will they damage my pool or the existing palms? Is there enough nutrients in the soil. Previously I had tall banana trees in the gap, but they are not evergreen. Of course, the tree salesman said "No problem", but I am worried. The tree is expensive and is already 10 ft tall. Please give me advice if you have experience.
