Enclose Screened Porch for Garage Storage - Siding?

J Rae

Our screened in porch area on the back of our house was in poor condition when we bought our house and we’ve only used it for storage for the last 6 years. We’ve decided to enclose it to use it to securely store our snow blower, mower, bikes, etc so we can fit our cars better in our garage. The garage is on the other side of this room so I’m thinking we will at least open up a doorway to connect them. We’re also considering doing a small garage / overhead door to allow for easy access to our mower. We’re struggling with what to do with the siding. We had to repair some other siding and were not able to get a good color match. Should we use a different style of siding all together? Maybe vertical siding? Any suggestions on the project would be greatly appreciated!
