I will definitely be putting: string lights, an outdoor rug, some curtains, etc. I already have that mosaic table, and a colorful banner. Now, they already put a clear sealant on the wood. The color isn't my favorite but I may leave it that color for now and see if I can live with it. I do like the red color of the wood they used for the trim. I may paint the roof blue. And possibly stain the concrete. Am also thinking of a gel pad under the rug (the kind sold for where people stand a lot) for an exercise/aerobics area. Having worked in re-upholstery for 20 years, I have seen my fair share of rusted springs and staples and also mold/mildew. Its not the water penetrating through a screened in porch but that you have no control over the humidity levels like you have in your home. The foam will absorb this, theirs no way around this, so its not the fabric the issue here. I would never recommend leather upholstery for a screened in porch. Their are very comfortable furniture, as comfortable as any interior furniture that is made for screened in porches and not intended for any outdoor use. Their is a difference in upholstery made for interiors, screened in porches and outdoors.

Iasy this often but this is one of my faves for color with brick and I think it could work for you but I would change the railing to a metal and glass one too and that area under the deck should be made to look purposeful so a nice patio area could work if you did the deck with a waterproof flooring .

painting it black isn't going to help with the dirt. a photo further back to see the entire look would help. it's on both side of the entrance, right? Is it the interior side you want to improve, or both interior & exterior. Any thought on siding the interior space with an exterior siding, for a finished look to the dining space?
