Another example of the style we’re looking for

I am confused you bought a new build that is nothing like the style you like and honestly this is a spanish style home and the mordern farmhouse look is not working for me.I agree the garage door needs some glass but not that garage door IMO the front door does not work either .Why does the front walk not go directly to the front door? So many things that are just off. Yes to removing the shutters and I like the idea of black windows but you have white windows and very little trim and the white grids will not look great with that bit of black trim. Maybe get an exterior designer to help bring this all together

Love your inspiration. Before anything. Black door for sure. Personally not into the whole “pop of color doors...” lol
Regarding the look your after I think the shutters, and those things under the windows need to go. Definitely love the idea of black windows. But I think the rounded windows look so much nicer. Especially with this style home. If you replace them I’d definitely go round.
As well as changing out the lighting. And the house number. I’m excited to see how this one turns out.

The elevation and layout is how we wanted it, just not the color scheme. The builder doesn’t allow for custom colors, so you ultimately have to do it after you close. The walkway does go to the front door, I think you’re looking at the unfinished desert landscape (gray curvy area). There is a concrete walkway behind it if you look closely.

I was leaning toward black as well. And those shutters and whatever is under the window is an eyesore. Unfortunately no builders in our are offer round windows, but I agree that they would look much better! Thanks for your input
