How do I hang this? Heavy Wall Decoration

I have yet to put up this heavy wall decoration because I am unsure on how to do it. Any suggestions? It will hang in the stairwell where I had a 2" x 6" placed behind the drywall at the mounting height during our renovation. It is about 36" across and weighs about 50lbs.

Curtain rod brackets sized to fit with wall anchors sized to over 50 lbs.

I’m not a designer but I think your instincts are right. If everything else is super light I agree the sofa will look too dark and heavy. I think a light, warm neutral paint would be great, and accents of blue would make that gold sofa sing. I think your existing neutral walls look okay, actually. What if you just tried painting the red accent wall a nice mid tone blue?

To me the issue is, unless you live in a beach house which it doesn't look like you do, the content of that art doesn't make any sense. To me it looks like coral (?) Even if it's not coral and maybe it's a shrub, it still doesn't make any sense to put pictures of shrubs in a hallway. I don't mind the scale so much if they were stacked, but to me there is no reason for those pictures to be hanging there. Find something that is not only more visually interesting but more appropriate for a hall way.

How many inches above headboard should I hang art/wall decor?

If the headboard isn't overpowering and a statement in itself, I'd go ahead and put lightweight art above... even though I don't live in earthquake country, I'd be nervous about anything heavy up there. Agree with arcy, I wouldn't want to have anything so low as to be hitting my head on anything over the bed when sitting up in it. So a photo of the bed would be great.

Google adjustable projection drapery brackets and you will find brackets that you can adjust the depth to account for the wall differences. Good luck

Curtain brackets would look really cool. Like these ones, if you don't want it to stick out too far:

Or, squared off black steel or iron hooks like this below.

Be sure to check measurements to make sure the inside of the hook is the right size for that pole. You say you had wall studs mounted at the right height? in that case you'll be fine. anchors are not necessary when you have studs.

They both look nice. The 2nd more so, as the bar is 1” square and it might sit better.
