How many inches above headboard should I hang decor/art?

Comments (7)Could the dresser work on the other wall facing bed, so bed can be centred, as you mentioned you like symmetry. When art and side lamps are added it will feel even more unbalanced. In regards to art above headboard, below is a example of 3 prints to help with height and spacing. Another idea is to add prints above side tables. Roman blinds would look nice, per first picture...See MoreBedroom Decor and Wall Art
Comments (9)Hi Maddie. You're off to a great start. But I do see areas that can be tweaked and improved on. I agree that there is a struggle with the desk placement and dresser placement. Is this a shared college apt where you need a desk in your room? I see a chair peaking out from the corner. What does that side of the room look like? Stand at the window to the right of your bed and take a photo that captures all of the opposite side of the room and then do the same from the left side of your bed so we can get an idea of actual space. Can you measure and draw a floorpan? You have a lot in the room and there may be alternator arrangements that work better. As far s above your bed two or three square art pieces depending on their size would work well. You lamps are a bit on the short side. I see the mustard throw and pillows. Is this a color you want incorporated in the room? I would lose the mirror above the dresser. It dates the space. I am not opposed to a mirror but an interesting one that hangs on the wall would be a more updated feature. Round and framed in the same color as your hardware like a thin black metal framed round mirror for instance. Is you desk also used as a vanity? Is that the reason for the mirror there?...See MoreI would like art work above my bed that has orange and possibly blue
Comments (13)I could see a more natural feel for this room being complimentary and ideas over headboard are below as well as for accessorizing Think about how you want the whole room to feel before adding more In sitting area, try high boy on other wall with mirror above and if you added a bookcase on the far wall and chair under window it will be a cozy little reading nook. A Kilim rug would be lovely there to ground the space. Another idea, if you have another spot for chair, you could make that area more functional with a vanity....See Morearcy_gw
