Galaxie, you'll note that I said I was going to do a post about the varieties mentioned to date, which did not include the tree tomato you referred to, which is Cyphomandra betaceae. I couldn't get GW to open for me yesterday. Ok, so Italian Tree, Climbing Triple Crop and even the variety Giant Tree which no one mentioned, are ALL just regular indeterminate varieties. Nothing special, I've grown them all. A so called "tree" type tomato is as follows, as cut and pasted from Victory Seeds: One class of tomatoes exhibits characteristics of both determinate and indeterminate types. Historically they are called "tree-type". " . . . the tomato De Laye, often called Tree tomato. This originated about 1862 in a garden at Chateau de Laye, France. In this the plant rarely exceeds 18 inches in height, is single-stemmed or with few very short branches, the nodes very short, the fruit clusters few and small. From this, by crossing with other types, there has been developed a distinct class of dwarf tomatoes which are of intermediate form and character and are well represented by Dwarf Champion.1 ***** And the tree type dwarf varieties all have rugose foliage, which is a beautiful deep green and the leaf surface pleated and bumpy. Back to the Tree Tomato that's found in ads in the Sunday supplements and elsewhere. As I said above, it's not even a tomato being C. betaceae. Fruits are red and roma shaped and it's a tender shrub and no fruit production for two years. It's also known as a Tamarillo and there are many cultivars of it that are prized and grown by lots of folks in the Far East as well as Australia and New Zealand and also in Califormia. I'm told by friends who grow them that the fruits are acidic and not eaten fresh but are wonderful as used for jams and jellies and in cooking. Carolyn

"don't talk about me while I'm away! " I didn't say a word! actually, I forgot it was Tues. I was too tired to go to the store/bank on Mon, so yesterday I forced myself out into the big bad world. I was very low on cash here. well, until after I went to the bank - later I found another 60.00 in my purse so I'd have been fine... dang it. well, I was out of goodies anyway... I'd finished off my 2 slices of cheesecake... I'd finished off my pkg of those raspberry cookies last wkend... I hate to be without sweets! I did knock off about 4 errands tho. 3 were just quick in/out stops. I did get frustrated and panicky after 1 stop when I couldn't find my keys. in the heat (it was hot here) I was in/ out of the back seat, front seat (both sides). the door on the drivers side wouldn't open - something wrong with the handle. I had to crawl over the seat from passenger side. what a bummer. after about 20min or so (and checking in the store) I found the keys. I'd sat everything on the hood when the door wouldn't open. I then picked up my purse and pkg to put in car - but left the keys and forgot they were there. that exhausted me. and I know it means a trip to the mechanic to get that door fixed - again. They changed it out a few yrs back- and here I am again. by the time I got home, I just wanted out of my 'go to town' clothes (which aren't a big deal - just not the grubs or nightshirt I wear around here), get a cold drink and lie down. I didn't want to do anything! shades - I am glad to hear you got some extra rest.

@ Susan... thats really a shame, I'm so sorry you returned it. Did you see the link I previously posted in this thread? Our sink is a Kohler Whitehaven 36" (also an undermount and its literally 150 lbs), the sink needs supports built for it like the link I provided above. Its currently sitting in my IKEA farmhouse cabinet base and my countertops are scheduled to be installed next week. So I'm confused as to why they told you that. Do you have a picture of the Rohl sink? I'm curious to see why the countertop installers said it couldn't be done. Did you go back and talk to cabinet people? I'm sorry to ask so many questions its just that it seems like you got some shady news from some lazy countertop installers.

we don't know what you room looks like. asking us to help pick a color isn't going to work. Your lighting can make paint colors appear differently then they do on a computer monitor. Plus the fact that we have no idea what a "grayish-oak flooring' looks like. And, do you expect us to google each one of those paint names to see what the color looks like?? Help us out here and post a pic of the actual colors, your flooring and your room. Otherwise, just get a few favorites that you like and sample them on your wall
