I have not used them and no nothing about them. I know that some on here have used KitchenPros and it was a disaster. I know a few posters have recommended Lily Anne Cabinets and liked them. I recently bought them for a rent house and they were lovely! I was very impresed. I bought them from link below. I bought the Arlington White. I know this is an old post, but I just came across it and just wanted to post an updated comment, especially in regards to "rtacabinetstore.com". Wish I had read this thread BEFORE I placed my order from them a few months ago for their Marquis Cinnamon cabinets. I had ordered a sample door and it looked pretty nice, so I went ahead and ordered my cabinets. They are of unbelievably poor quality, made in China. Some of the prices were missing stain in spots and polyurethane. The drawer sides are thin and cheap, pieced wood. Some pre drilled holes were drilled wrong, so we had to use a Dremel to correct in order to use the cam locks. I am still trying to get the issues resolved since January. I kept them because they are going in a 2nd rarely used kitchen in the basement that got destroyed during Hurricane Irene, but I would NEVER, I mean NEVER use these for my primary kitchen! I have photos of some of the poor quality if anyone wants to see them...I'd be happy to email them. I wish it had worked out better...I had high hopes that it was going to be a cost effective way to redo both kitchens in the house and all three bathrooms, which are all 40 years old and in need of updating. Plus my brother wanted to redo his kitchen and my mom her bathroom, so this was our trial run. Never again would I buy from them! They lost a lot of future business with this poor example of the quality of their products. Beware of rtacabinetstore.com!

We're in the middle of assembling a Scherr's kitchen now. We had planned on an IKEA/Scherr's combo for a long time, but in the end felt that our tiny kitchen would be best served by going the all-Scherr's route, so we could customize things as needed (and because the closest IKEA is almost 5 hours away). We ordered sample doors (unpainted and two wood types) and went back and forth with Leon, the owner, over the details. When we were finally ready to place an order in late October, the lead time was 10-12 weeks. However, there was a last minute cancellation/delay of an east coast Scherr's project due to Hurricane Sandy, so Leon pushed us up and we got our cabinets in 4 weeks. Cost for our 10x10ish kitchen was a couple thousand more than IKEA and a couple thousand less than a local cabinetmaker (also frameless cabs). As I said, we're still sorting through all of the boxes and assembling cabinets, but communication and customer service have been great so far.

RTA cabinets don't vary much from one brand to another. It really comes down to how handy one is in putting them together correctly and even more important installing them. I wouldn't let anyone scare you off from considering them. Call them at their toll free number, ask a lot of questions and maybe buy a sample door to see if you like it. I get a little tired of all the, but it's probably made in China mantra on this site. Lots of US companies either manufacture in China who put together products from components made in China. This company is selling out of California warehouses. Sort of doubt they would be in business here if they sold cheap off gassing cancerous stock. But here everything is labeled as a hazard. Crazy. Like you said, you are putting them in a beach house. You are not trying to build a showplace kitchen out of them. You want cabinets that look relatively nice and hold things without coming apart. I don't remember the brands but we've used RTA cabs for several projects over the years (last time in a rental) and they have always worked and held up well. But DH is a good detail guy who can make a cardboard box look good. ;-)
