Well, I always say all I want for is an indoor pool. And luckily, if I call it a swimming pool, I can play the game! I seldom buy lottery tickets, but when I do it's for a gift. I love giving 60 lottery tickets for a 60th birthday to someone who has everything they need. Or 70 or 80 for those ages, too.

Easter Island? Don't know anything about it - probably not enthused about loving (intended to be "living" - till my computerized overseer got hold of it) there. Maybe give it to my (nearly 60 yr. old) childless kids for Christmas.

Financial advisors recommend that a major priority for clients should be setting up a 3 - 6 mos. or a year's emergency fund and as those who had built such prior to the Covid crisis did a lot less chewing of fingernails, or sweating of blood, than those who hadn't, those who'd used discretionary funds to build such a project likely have been much happier in recent months than folk who've used some of their discretionary funds to buy lottery tickets. Especially the biggie payout ones, where there'll be thousands more ticket holders now holding only scrap paper good for consigning to the garbage, the recycling bin or the woodstove.

Mansion... Ha, not really. I would want to do some good with the money so that would take time to figure out. In the meantime, I would shop for a place on the ' big' lake and buy a cute sports car ! It's nice to dream! 😉

Ok, I'd payoff my house. Sucks having to rebuild financially after living through a flooded house AND a divorce from someone who turned out to be a deadbeat. All my friends are talking retirement in five years, and I'm aiming for ten. I'll get there!

I rarely buy Powerball or Mega Million tickets. Only when it gets up to 200M or so then I donate a couple bucks. I usually buy some scratcher tickets as stocking stuffers for my son and his GF and they always seem to win. Last year $40 worth of scratchers turned into $192. If I bought them for myself I would have won nada.

Completely made up frivolity - if these exist, it's because of the generic nature of the words. there might even be a World Championship of Origami. A quick exercise of my imagination to come up with silly things that would interest me hypothetically about as much as any lottery, nothing more.

But after putting enough money into the garden for other people to visit that I am attempting to create (and making sure I had enough money for old - or should I say older? - age and that kind of thing) my main priority would be providing financial assistance to other efforts of which I approved. With the amount of need out there being of course essentially boundless.

Certainly not every time or even most times, maybe few times and perhaps not this time, but jasdip, who started the thread, has commented before that that she likes when I drive off the main road and go off in a different direction.

The first letter of my legal name is "E" so my response is "Everything". Elmer, you can be amusing, but most often you come across as stiff and unpleasant.

I like light hearted, imaginative games and appreciate the creativity so many people show. These are not serious questions and I don't take them seriously, I have fun! Elmer, with an "E" you could buy electricity for Texas, or elephants and eels for my nature preserve!

nickel, the best e to spend money on is education. Not just the academic kind but education of all kinds. Trade and vocational education is maybe even more important. Also, empathy and ethical behavior, can we buy these for the hordes who need it?
