Maybe you aren't as creative as you would like to be, but you probably know what you like and what you don't like. So that's why you should get a bunch of magazines and on-line pictures to start seeing what speaks to you and what doesn't. We now know that you don't want orange. What other colors don't you want/what colors do you love? Do you have a Calico Corners or JoAnn's nearby? Try browsing the fabrics and figure out what and colors and patterns you like: stripes/plaids/polkadots/floral? This is where you can start, and then we can work from there.

Agree with above and I'd get rid of the bookcase. It's too low for the space. Have tall bookcases built in to the ceiling and also a library ladder to reach the ones on top. I think you can use 2 sofas and perhaps 2 chairs as well, if they're the right ones. That sofa MUST be pulled away from that wall - looks totally wrong there and blocks the kitchen entrance.

What a nice room. If you install a fireplace I would have the couch facing it, with a loveseat along the window side (great light for reading) and two comfortable chairs on the opposite side. A fabulous area rug, gorgeous paintings, a glass and metal coffee table (to minimize its size since the room is not huge and show off the rug), side tables with lamps, and you'd be well on your way. Side panels for the window also.

Try the large couch centered across from the window so it has a nice view outside. Slightly angle the love seat next to it facing the other window with a view f the tv placed next to the window but closer to the window not the corner. With just the single recliner on the larger window side facing the tv. Look for an entertainment center at a height you like for viewing tv. I don't like mounting them on a wall because it forces you to keep it in that position that is sometimes mounted to high. I like it standing ON the entertainment center instead so the whole thing can be moved without patching walls if you decide to change your furniture placement.
