Add solid surface threshold to existing tiled shower curb?

Marie Strandwitz

We have a stall shower with a 4" curb and frameless glass door. The curb is tiled and has Schluter trim strips, but was not sloped inward and despite using all the plastic trim pieces we can, and trying to silicon the grout lines, water goes out onto the floor. This is a guest bathroom just done late 2019, so we never realized it until months later when guests visited. One tile person suggested removing the door and putting the Corian right on top of the existing tile so as not to damage the membrane if the tile were removed. Then the holes for the door hinges and fixed panel would be sealed and the door moved up 1/2". But they are too busy to do the job. Is this a viable solution or should the tiles be removed from the curb before the Corian? Would one use thinset or silicone or? Thanks in advance!
