If you want to use both liquids and not just one, whichever you choose for the pump, you'll have the other either on the counter or in the cabinet.

I'd put which of the two liquids used most in the pump.

It happens we have handwashing liquid in our two built-in pumps in the kitchen. Because, as you said was true for you, we use that most. I'll wash my hands with dishwashing detergent if need be but I don't want to make a habit of it. My wife won't use it for handwashing. Easy decision for us.

The answer is obvious. Mostly hand washing = hand soap.

Hopefully there is a sink in the restroom. Hand soap in the restroom, dish soap in the kitchen area. Because it’s a kitchen area.

I would use Dawn dish soap as you really only need a drop to lather.

Something to look at is what is the size of the container for the liquid. In my limited experience with them most hold about a cup to a cup and a half which is fine if you want to keep refilling it frequently. Of course that would depend on the size of your office. If small use it for hand washing. Since there is little real difference between handwashing and dishwashing for most brands other than scent I would use one type for both.

I get awful eczema from dish detergent and many liquid hand soaps. So I have a bar of soap at each sink. Editing this post because I see this is an office, not a home kitchen. So I would use liquid hand soap in the dispenser and keep a bottle of dish detergent for the dishes.

I do have a question. Who will be filling the dispenser? Office staff or cleaning crew.

maifleur-office staff will be filling. We did end up filling it with hand wash figuring there is going to be more hand washing than dish washing. We can just grab the dish soap from under the counter. Our office is very small, so next time I'll see if everyone is fine using dish soap for washing hands and fill it with dish soap. Now if it were home, I'd fill it with dish soap, I wouldn't have a problem using dish to wash my hands in the kitchen.

My built in soap dispenser has a Never MT attachment. I fill it maybe twice a year with Hudson Grace dish soap. But it is a good hand soap in a pinch. Even my adult son commented once that it was "a joy for the nose" lol
