I love this color in the powder room! It’s the perfect place to put a bright color. It’s only jarring because you are used to very neutral walls. Add another bright via a small piece of art and the teal will become a neutral.

It could flow if you start adding turquoise accent colors to your gray spaces. I love the shade in your powder room!

I think you should give yourself a little more credit. Your family room looks pretty good! Now for my advice on your powder room. If there's anywhere you should go crazy it's a powder room. I like the color you chose for your walls but it makes the room seem kinda monolithic and a bit on the boring side. Would suggest that you add pattern and texture as much as you can. Here are a few examples.

I love the color in your powder room. It will all be fine. Yes, carry the gray into some accessories in there, but, also carry the wall color in the powder room, into the family room too. A pillow or two, and a few other small things. I love seeing color in rooms. There is far too many rooms that are all so neutral these days, that they are bland and boring.

Agreed with Norwood architects. Was going to suggest a wallpaper either on one wall or on half of all the walls. Something with whites and blues in it. It will really pull it all together

Love the color! Agree you need some contrast in their.....simple white on everything would tamp down the turquoise if you are worried....but looks great.

I like the colors in both rooms. If I could offer a suggestion, it would be to find a smaller mirror. The one you have is too large and overwhelms the small sink.

The coral drapes in your living room are wonderful! If you replace with beige, you'll lose a pop of color and the living room will need something significant to keep it from being drab.

The powder room has a door, and is its own separate space. It can be fun, vivid, and different from the other spaces in your home.

I hate to say this, but it is a destination.....

The piece above the fireplace looks like it has the same aqua/turquoise color in it, as well as your lamp, so you already have the flow going. Don't change the drapes, they look good. I also wouldn't put gray towels or rugs in the powder room. A bit of something natural would help, consider changing the mirror to a natural wood frame. The one you have looks rather cold.

Hi, It’s not a mistake and here’s why; you love the color, it makes you happy and that’s all I need to know. A powder room does not need to match the rest of your home. On the contrary, it’s actually a great area to be daring! We painted our powder room walls Apple Green and added white wainscoting, white trim, and white fixtures. The rest of our home is neutral. I really wanted an Apple Green powder room, so we did it. It’s my happy color and no regrets.

I like the blue, and small bathrooms are a perfect place for bold colors ... especially when they're right next to a lovely-but-neutral living space.

However, I note that you have coral curtains in the living space. If you hadn't already painted, I'd have said go coral ... but with the blue in place, I would not repaint.

you need accessories, better lights, art, maybe some wood shelves.

coral is the complimentary color to that shade of turquoise. bring in coral, white, some texture as mentioned w/the wicker, and big art.

you could do some white wainscot around the bottom half, paint the ceiling a diff color and get a nice light for the ceiling.

Paint the two story foyer the gray, keep the powder room as is. What isn’t working is the drapery color and throw pillows.

I would repaint it. I never liked mint in the walls. It looks cheap.

I like the color but if I may say, what I noticed the mot was your sconce. I find a bit too heavy for the mirror and the space.

The color looks great! Once you put in accessories, art, etc. it will tone down the paint color.

Thanks all. I am looking for art now. I’m going with three small pics over the commode, a large pic against the wall, the wicker top holder and wicker container over the commode and natural rug. My question is, if I go with a big and bright abstract for the large pic, what small pics would complement that without it all looking too much. I thought maybe neutral pics over the commode? Any pics/ suggestions are most helpful!

I LOVE the larger picture. Agree that the birds don't go with the colorful abstract... they're too delicate and traditional to go with the abstract. One (or the other) could be elsewhere nearby, just not in the same view.

Love the print (agree about the birds. one is nice and serene and the other says, "lets party!")

I'd remove those and do a nice glass shelf or something

your big print is hung way too high. lower it about a foot. yes, a foot. from the floor to the MIDDLE of the print should be between 56-60"

I love the big print, but, have to agree, the birds look very much out of place.

Is the print centered on that wall? If not, I would center it.

I love your powder room❣️It is a beautiful room with an unexpected fun color❣️ I would even use more color in that powder room and opt for bright rose towels.

I am going to take away the birds but I do like the idea of pictures on that wall, or some kind of art, rather than a plain old shelf (that everyone does)! Can anyone suggest some prints or art? I can’t seem to find anymore around 9x11 or any other art pieces.

I haven't read all of the comments, so someone else may have already suggested this. I love the coral and turquoise, so I like the pop of color from your living room curtains. You also have the color in your sofa pillows and if you add a little big of that coral color pop on the other side of the room and you'll have a cohesive look to the room overall. You could also change the color from coral to yellow since the pic above the fireplace has a preeminent pop of yellow. In the power room I'd add artwork that has a lot of white and whatever color you decide to go with to tone down the brightness of the aqua color and give the eyes a place to rest. I do love the color though and overall think you've done well in your choices. Give yourself some credit!

the vase came up with coral and turquoise decor.

just look for a vintage style aqua glass or vase, and fill them w/peonies (I think that's what those are) I'm sure you can find some good faux flowers
