You might like those curtains but they don't complement your seating. Is the seating staying?

If you plan to use drapery panels and close them, the fabric should not be flat when you close them. They should still retain a fold. Otherwise, they just look like sheets you threw up on the windows for privacy

Unfortunately the seating has to stay. I intended to buy shear curtains to put under the curtains and just leave the curtains open but right now there is nothing behind them and so that made the picture look weird too. This is so hard!

Some option. Pick colors from curtains for your rug, pillows and wall art

Celery. My living room and dining room are connected with an open area. The other thing I am trying to figure out is what type of window treatment for my dining room. Do you think the bamboo shades would work in there too? Or would you recommend something different?

The bamboo roman shades would work well in your dining area as well. You might consider painting the dining area a blue color from the drapes you like, so the spaces look more coordinated.
