Need a little help here for cabinet ideas

Hey y'all! Finally leaving the 80's behind. Getting rid of soffits and cabinet doors will be taller. Painting off white w/new shaker style doors.
Hang with me ;I have alot of questions!
I have the option of taking doors to top or having smaller doors on top(I will include photo ideas )
I'd like to add a little interest with maybe some glass front doors? I like the pic of corner door w/glass.
Will smaller doors above look too busy?
Should I keep a shelf at end of cabinets(as I have now)or just continue w/doors?
We'll be replacing existing range hood with decorative one to match cabinets.
I need ideas for over-sink area.
Should I replace pendants over peninsula with a single fixture?
I like oil rubbed bronze hardware but does brushed nickle look best w/stainless appliances?
I did my best to take a panoramic view of kitchen.
Any ideas appreciated. Please no negativity.

Okay, so just to clarify... the footprint of your kitchen is staying the same, correct? If so, here are my thoughts:

1. Stacked cabinets are a great idea. Whether you use those upper uppers for storage or to display pretty pieces of pottery (or something similar) is entirely up to you.

2. Glass doors are a great addition to a kitchen and helps break up the visual monotony of all cabinet doors. I do not like them in corner cabinets (I don’t like corner cabinets / lazy susans in general), but I like them on cabinets where dishes and glassware are stored.

3. I don’t think smaller uppers will make your kitchen look busy. Refer to my thoughts at #1.

4. Adding a shelf or extending the run of cabinets is personal preference. I am short (5’3”) so reaching anything in a cabinet like that would be very difficult, especially if you have a peninsula there. So, if my setup were like yours, I’d prefer the shelves.

5. Not sure what you mean for over the sink ideas. But I’d install some recessed lighting above your sink. No need for a pendant.

6. Replacing your pendants with a single pendant is personal preference. I’d prefer to keep sight lines open and install recessed lighting there.

7. ORB hardware is pretty. I’d take a look at some of your inspiration pics to see if any of those kitchens have ORB hardware and stainless steel appliances. I think you can pair them without issue. Installing SS appliances does NOT mean you must have brushed nickel hardware. Lots of people have installed brass, champagne bronze and ORB hardware with their SS appliances.

Also,may need to replace backsplash if upper cabinet tear out damages it.
I like the tumbled stone but any ideas are welcome. Does glass look too contemporary with shaker cabinets? This is a country house.

Did you spray your trees and with what? The reason I ask is I had a simular problem and it was the product I was using to spray that was harming the trees (it must of went bad). After I stopped spraying the new leaves did not show the problem.

Below is listed an outstanding link that everyone should read. " Most tree roots are located within the top 3' of soil. However, because the majority of the fine roots are concentrated in the top several inches of soil, minor soil disturbances can injure or remove a large portion of the absorbing roots on a tree. Planting too deep slows root growth which can lead to poor establishment or death." If you build a raised bed around any tree , bring in topsoil and cover up the roots - you will slowly smother the tree and kill it . Guaranteed . Send the painters away and select your granite first, and then bring home paint swatches to see how they look in the space. There is no one color that works and looks the same in every setting. Your granite is the bigger, more permanent decision, and should come first.

I would paint it all, or paint the door only. With the single sidelight, I think you have a chance of things looking a little off-balance if you leave the trim white, but contrasting the door only could work. I'd have the transom match whatever you do with the sidelight, painted dark or light. I think it would be great to paint the inside of the door black as well, because it works with the interior of your home. If you were going with a bright color that you didn't want to see from the inside, only as an exterior color, that would be different. But leave the interior trim, sidelight, transom white.

You can have glass fronts on your doors with tumbled stone. BUT I do want to caution that a tumbled stone B/S is somewhat outdated.

What do u like with this darker Santa Cecilia granite and off white cabinets?
I've never cared for subway tile.

@GeorgiaPeach 1970, I don’t see a picture attached...

ETA: There are so many pretty tiles out there. Speaking from personal experience, tile is the last thing you’ll select for your kitchen makeover. I’d wait until your counters and cabinets are installed before selecting. But if you cannot wait, Take a sample door and a piece of granite with you to a tile shop and look around. I’m not a huge fan of plain white subway, but there’s so many more updated styles to choose from, you just need to look around.

It's hard to tell in the pictures but it looks like your ceilings are pretty standard height. I would suggest going with taller cabinets to give the illusion of higher ceilings. As you can see in your inspiration for stacked cabinets, they have pretty high ceilings. The shelves on the end are great and always add character and a custom look, same thing with the glass. I would leave the area over the sink open, it will feel lighter with the window being the focal point of that wall.

So u think just one taller door?
What do u mean by leaving it open on window wall?

Oh I read that wrong. U meant uncluttered with maybe no window treatments and maybe lose the pendant?

Window treatments depend on your personal preference, but yes I meant to go without the trim around the window. I think it would let more light in. Something like this...
