Blue, not until you said no. I'd like to visit it and really look around the arboretum but the last two times I spent too long in their plant center (incidentally where I bought the GS). I'm ridiculously confused by the pines I see roadside as I drive my lorry up and down the country. I seem to see varieties of possible p.sylvestris in colours from aqua blue to dark green and forms from very regular 'fingered' (generally the bluishish/greeny greyish) to the classic bare trunked with upward clusters - also massive fully branched specimens. Does p.s come in such variety or am I seeing entirely different trees?

I don't have pictures, but the ones I'm having most trouble with are in the echeveria family. One looks like an Arlie Wright or hybrid of echeveria gibbilora. The other, also in the echeveria family is a rosette, with bluish/green leaves.

I sincerely apologize for the delayed response! I never got any notification of replies to my question so I assumed there were none. I came back on here today because I have a new problem with my marshmallow. I have got them hardened off and they are all outside near my patio. They are definitely growing better but in the last few days, have all gotten purple leaves (still only a very minor issues with the yellowing)! It is only effecting the oldest of the leaves so far but the stems have turned purple too so I'm worried that whatever this is will make it to the beautiful newer leaves as well. I haven't put them in the ground yet because I am terrified of pests destroying them. Something, I think we've come to the conclusion it's birds, has taken every one of the 30 clary sage seedlings and 2 of my comfrey seedlings that I transplanted out. But why on earth would the marshmallow leaves now be turning PURPLE?! Gardening is supposed to relaxing

matt I don't know, but leaves usually shrivel and dry up if too dry. I don't use moisture meter (they are not that reliable, unless you have a better quality one); if I have any doubts I just stick a bamboo skewer deep into pot to check for moisture. Just checked my plant, there is 1 leaf that is yellowing - I am quite sure it is just old and is going to dry up and fall off. There are 3 big branches/stems on my plant, mostly 'naked', with leaves just at the top. It is constantly in bloom - I got it in 2012 and it never stopped blooming yet. It really needs to be repotted (still in pot & soil I got it in!), and also pruned, since there is no branching at all, and is getting too tall.
