Stainless Steel Appliances w/ Oil Rubbed Bronze Accents
Comments (14)I, too, am having this problem. Our cabinets are on order, yeah, antique white with a glaze and medium color hickory cabinets on the island. Have looked at granite and are set on a cream/brown wavy one(can't think of the name). Plan on using cup pulls and knobs with a small detail around the edge. We are having quite a few drawers so lots of pulls. Our appliances are SS have a white not brite white farm house sink and a stainless faucet. I do agree that ORB would look great on the white cabinets. How about the hickory cabinets? What about light fixtures? Plan on having pendants over the island. Our dining room is connected. Tearing down the wall that seperates the 2 rooms-making the kitchen larger. I mention this because should the light fixture match the kitchens light fixtures, in style and in metal finish? The more I ponder this the more confused I get. Can't wait to work on ideas for a backsplash. ;-) Thanks for your help and input, norma...See Morewhat cabinet color goes w black stainless steel appliances
Comments (33)It's the "black glaze" part that I'd eliminate. Glazing like that has a tendency to make the cabinet just look shabby and old. There's enough going on with the gray stain on the wood, no need for glaze too. You also better make sure you will be comfortable with the variegations in the wood which will come to the surface with that wash. See on the sample pic you posted of the Snowbank door how the vertical, horizontal, and center panel pieces look so different from each other? Make sure you see it IRL and imagine that all over your kitchen. Some people--maybe you--might say "how charming, I love that". Others might not. Which one are you?...See MoreUsing a black stainless range hood with stainless steel appliances
Comments (13)Thank you for all your opinions. @Patricia. As it turns out, we are doing a Bosch dishwasher and a samsung microwave, but the refrigerator, range and hood are GE Profile. After much scouring of the internet I actually found the exact application I was looking to do with the GE range I'm looking at with a hood from a different brand. What do those of you with the trained design eye think?...See MoreStainless faucet and gold hardware?
Comments (4)Take a look at some of the kitchen photos (sort on kitchens with stainless appliances). You will find many in which the hardware and faucet have different finishes. Good luck with your project. In the end do what you like. Remember if you do both and a year later what a change. It is easy to switch out hardware. When I want an update to my kitchen I change paint and hardware and lighting....See MoreRebecca Delo
