I used those exact knobs on my kitchen cabinets (and same color of cup pulls) on the drawers. I have stainless and it looks perfectly fine, no clashing.

Just piping in to say, the Amerock golden champagne really is a pretty, matte finish. I ordered a few samples from different companies/styles, and the Amerock golden champagne was my favorite. I have boxes of pulls (the Blackrock line) ready to install on our cabinets as soon as we close at the end of the month.

The color seems to be the same across their lines, too. I ordered towel bar & paper holder from a different line for a nearby powder room, and they are the same golden champagne color as the pulls.

This year it’s brushed gold, next year it will be rose gold (who knows?!). In the end it is what your heart desires. The knobs or pulls are the jewelry finish to your look and easily changed. I tend to be practical and look for classic long term design/style . I am looking for a contemporary deign with both silver and gold combined!

I would do Amerock’s polished nickel. Beautiful. More subtle and elegant than the champagne gold. Works with the SS too. And knobs for doors with bars for drawers is fine of course, but Amerock’s knobs (as well as many others - I’ve searched extensively!) are too small IMO. I’m doing Amerock’s bars in sterling nickel for my drawers (and my high over-the-fridge & double oven cabinets), and larger (weird eclectic) knobs that I’ve found online for all other uppers. I would have done the polished nickel (I just did it in our master bath reno), but it was cost prohibitive due to quantity needed for drawers (44) with too many of them very wide.

Your cabinets are gorgeous; I love the color! Mine are going to be a blue as well - Sherwin Williams “Cay”.

I would (and did) go for brushed nickel pulls & knobs. The gold fad that's happened recently reminds me of the 1980's.

Brushed gold is the polished brass of the 2020's which no one wants in their house now. I would go with something that has stood the test of time.

I would tie it all together with the champagne gold pulls on the dove color cabinets and polished nickel pulls on the blue cabinets. No knobs.

Im not a fan of mixing metals, stick with silver, I absolutely love gold, I've had it in several houses over the last 30 years and it always looks classy

Don’t know why peeps are bothered by knobs. I’ve got them - came with the place. Work fine. my cabinets are from the 1970’s: solid wood, flat front doors, built in site by the contractor. That’s what they used to do before selling boxes to mount on walls. I really like them! Oh - and while the doors don’t go to the ceiling the structure it self does: no soffetts!

Just like everything else, it’s all a fad. Cheaper and easier to change out knobs. And those folks choosing pulls that are some trendy size/length may find someday as atypical size other options may not be available.

I would go with a simple LUCITE or Glass pull... NO KNOBS

I don't use anything on lower cabinets that can catch my pockets! I'm just the right (or wrong) height where pants pockets get caught on knobs/non-cupped handles on lower cabinets!

As far as color goes - you can mix you know! Silver on white/gold on blue, vis versa, it really doesn't matter - as long as you enjoy and like it - Go for it!!!! Don't get stressed out about it - my friend painter's tapped handles onto the cabinets to see which she liked best!!! Sorta like paint testing on walls!!! Just enjoy the experience and make it the way you like, so when you look at it you smile!

Gold hardware would complement floor colour. As for knobs vs pulls, our 80’s (hardware-less cabinetry) kitchen was gutted and completely renovated 5 years ago. We went with pulls on all drawers and lower cabinets, and I love the convenience. Our upper cabinets are two tiered, since we have 9 ft ceilings with cabinets all the way up; we have pulls on the lower row and knobs on the top row. That combination is both visually pleasing and functional.

Personally, I would go with black wrought iron hardware (but I really hate gold tones, so...) I think Lucite or glass would be pretty, too.

You have such a spectacular “clean” look going on that already beautifully avoids being sterile. I would go with the brushed nickel! In 5 years someone will look at that champagne gold hardware and think, “Wow. Very 2020, ain’t it?” I wouldn’t try to trendy-up a classic style that already works so well.

And FWIW, I agree with ROUNDED pulls on all lower surfaces. My pockets are always getting snagged.

I did the Champagne Gold hardware and touch faucet in my kitchen and absolutely loved it. Only lived in the home for a year and the buyers said the kitchen is what sold them!

We did gold even though others thought it would look weird with the appliances. we love it!

The knobs and pulls are a relatively inexpensive investment, and easy to swap out. You don't have to live with your choice for the rest of your life. I say go with your gut, and pick the color, style, and form (knobs or pulls) that you are most drawn to. Pick what makes you happy! By the way, your kitchen looks beautiful!

I'm not a fan of the knobs but I must admit the pulls on the island look good. Having been through the gold/brass eras(I am surprised) that I like the champagne finish. So go with the Gold. The Kitchen look great.

Another vote for nickel. . .it'll stand the test of time. Also, if you use pulls on lower cabinetry, consider that the bar shape will catch pockets, sweaters, robes, etc., and be an aggravation, especially if you are pulled to a sudden halt while carrying something spillage ike a cup of coffee. You will regret using them.

@jandsmom - do you regret your bar pulls? I have boxes of those Amerock pulls sitting in my foyer right now...awaiting install...

Bar pulls -- pulls without ends that are rounded toward the cabinet or drawer front -- are an aggravation and a nuisance. I have installed them because clients insisted they must have them and about 80% regretted their choice. It's sometimes difficult to change them out because the spacing between fasteners is often idiosyncratic. It's a shame the industry chooses not to standardize the spacing.

No regrets at all! I have big drawers and I used different sizes depending how big. You would need two knobs (and hands) on those drawers to open them smoothly and with the long pull it's not an issue. For the doors, I just turned them vertical. I also have knobs on my 4 little drawers and the corner cabinet.

What do you like best? Hardware is the least expensive item in the room. It can be easily replaced if the next owner doesn’t like it. I have never had a client refuse to buy a house over the cabinet knobs.😏

I would stick to the brushed nickel unless the champagne gold has a muted tone- not a really gold color. But I think if you do bring the gold in you should have other gold elements too, like faucets or light fixtures.

Your gold color is beautiful, and dont worry, you dont have to much the hardware with the appliances any more. I will go for it !

I like the champagne gold, but also I would go for a pull that won't snag on your clothes as you brush by for the lower cabinets

I love the champagne gold! so warm yet subtle. and mixing metals is widely acceptable in the decor world. no matter what color metal you pick, I'd suggest going with brushed. it's way less fingerprinty.

When we renovated our kitchen the designer put hardware into the rendition. That way you can see what it looks like. We also brought home samples to look at finish and style with the cabinets. You have time for the hardware choice as it arrives quickly and is easy to install so do not feel rushed with a decision. I would take my time. Look at photos on Houzz!

All - wow, what amazing feedback from teammates, thank you! Yes, the Champagne Gold is a very subtle & muted gold....think of it as the same look as Brushed Nickle compared to Chrome. Agree 100% with the recommendations not to have pulls that have the ends sticking out that catch on clothing.....they look cool, but form follows function in my book.

Love your choices. I would definitely go with the gold. As others have said, mixed metals are no longer viewed as a design mistake. If you pick up just about any design magazine, you will find mixed metals widely used. Beyond that, it sounds like your heart is leaning toward using the gold hardware and I say do whatever brings you joy.

Just an added idea... if you look back up at my pic you'll see how I mixed pulls, knobs and handles.... One of my favorite things in my kitchen. Please post your finished kitchen, I'm sure it will be beautiful!

@jandsmom for the Amerock gold cabinet pull (I am looking at this too!) which size did you get? I love yours!

I got a few different sizes depending on my drawer and cabinet size. 15" drawers on the island are 6". 18" drawers are the 7.5". I also have a few 18" drawers that have the knobs. 30" drawers are 13". 33 to 36" drawers are 18". All of the vertical ones on the cabinets are the 13". All the sizes are approximate since I just quickly pulled out my tape measure. I've had them for 3 and a half years and still love them!

Up until recently, i probably would have suggested the brushed nickel, but gold is def in style AND your countertops (which I love and we just ordered ourselves) pair great with the gold hardware-go for it!!!

Any good champagne gold brands? I tried ordering Amerock and for some reason it really looks more bronze to me.

@Estelle Grech, I used Amerock Mulholland and really like the champagne gold color. It does not look bronze at all to me.

@shead I am going to try to order that one to compare to the Bar Pull I ordered from them. The ones I received definitely don't pop or look like the photos they post online. I know they photoshop and enhance them but it was so drastic. I'll try a different version and maybe that'll pop more. Thank you.

@Estelle Grech, I ordered mine from Amazon so I could easily return the extras I didn't use. At the time, the price was the same. I used the pull for my lowers and the Mulholland knob for my uppers because I don't care for handles on uppers. That's just my preference. The Mulholland knob isn't round, either, and I really like it's sleeker look.
