Flashing color on cedar board and batten house

McLinda

Our house was built in the 50s and includes such features as

  • Previously painted cedar board and batten,
  • Aluminum casement windows with impossible to find replacement glass
  • Aluminum flashing with tar drips
  • Many imperfections and blemishes to paint over

We've already purchased 5 gallons of SW Weathershield paint in the same color that the house was already painted, Drumskin (not sure if that is a SW color) and I already painted our front door heirloom red with a charcoal gray trim.

Should I paint the aluminum flashing color something different than the drumskin house color?
