Only time I saw the clothes basket type ones were at Menards selling them as clothes baskets. Thought about buying on for laundry. And I've never been to a Kohl's. A couple stores have the smaller cart option. I don't use them. Tried it once or twice but didn't like them though they'd work in a jam. I tend to lean on them a lot when I'm stiff and the smaller ones are a lower height. Fleet Farm has what look like conventional carts but they're designed differently. If you lean on the handle, it'll do a wheelie. Almost landed on my face the one day when I was really stiff and sore. And this place makes you sign a contract to use their electric carts and give them your ID. You must indemnify the store in the event that anything happens, including damage to the store, even to the point if someone else is responsible, you indemnify them. I laughed at them and said buh-bye. Didn't go there often before. Go there less often now. From the store's standpoint I understand the smaller cart - lower price and possibly lower frequency of repair. As a customer, I don't see any advantage. What is it that you love so much? I must be missing something. They block the aisles as effectively as a standard cart and work the same on the rule of thirds aisle blocking. I guess for some the lower reach into it would be helpful but that's about all I see so far anyway.

Yes,its my pattern,and you are looking at two of them. The top one is un folded, the bottom one is folded and fastened with velcro. Nothing goes on the seat. Its simply a quilted rectangle that you fold over and fasten over the handle.Sorry I didnt explain very well...hope this helps.

carts are hard to keep track of for retailers. And yes they are expensive & vital to the retailer. I once drove by some women I saw walking w/a small cart. Thought to myself, That looks like one of our carts (the store I worked at used small carts). Turned around, approached the women, asking what they were doing w/the cart. They were coming out of a neighborhood, clearly they were using it to grocery shop, that's where they were headed. They said they'd been shopping at our store that morning & were bringing it back. I said, well, let's see what you bought then ladies, that's so big you had to steal the cart. Nothing. I said I'm taking the cart back now. They tried protesting, saying they don't speak English, etc. Their English improved rapidly when I said I was calling the cops! Offered them 3 choices- 1. I call the cops 2. I take the cart now. 3. You ladies pay me $150 for the cart. Put the cart in my hatchback & continued on my way. That particular store couldn't keep carts. I instituted a policy of no carts leave the store, customers may drive to the door & we will help them load their cars if needed.I put security buttons on them so the cart set off the alarms at the door. Never did solve the problem of the neighboring pizza joint sending their customers over to use our restrooms though......
