IMO you will need to ask your supplier about cost but the rest is just a visual decision with no real difference in preformance.

Cost is minimally different and there is absolutely no performance difference as one is a 4" and one is a 5" lap. Most installer charge by the 100 sq ft so the labor cost should be about the same as well.

Thank you so very very much. We think the 5 inch looks best with the 7 in shakes. It seems more balanced.

3 types of siding is 1 too many in my opinion. I would lose the stone as it is obviously just lipstick and not to appear functional.
