Help me select a paint color for small bathroom

What color would you paint the walls in this bathroom? Because I'm a procrasinator I need to decide today lol

Was thinking pure white or alabaster but wondering if those are too boring.

Vanity is a griege and fixtures are nickel. Floor is white

I hope the vanity will be moved over to allow the drawer to open without hitting the door trim. And will there be a counter that will require a counter overhang on the right?

As for colors, you may want to pull out a color from the shower tile for the wall.

Hi putzie 1, Have to disagree about the bathroom appearing smaller (even with a low ceiling) because when you paint a 5x7 white square on top of your wall paint colour it just brings attention to the fact that it is a small room (nothing wrong with that - by the way)! Maybe some other people can weigh in about the wall and ceiling colour being the same colour. It actually does not make a room look bigger - but it does stop your eye from starting and stopping at different sight lines, so you get a smoother and more cohesive feel in the room. Don't try it if you are not convinced, but if unsure, try it both ways and see IRL what you prefer. Good luck and maybe some OP's who have done this will give you their experience. Your choices sound very nice - no matter what colour ceiling!

Hello, Since you are planning on keeping the vanity cabinets with dark granite countertops along with white subway tiles, I think an easy solution would be to bridge the gap between the countertop and the subway tile by using a white marble look floor tile with dark veins. Below are just a couple of tiles I found on Houzz. I think using light-colored floor tiles would keep the bathrooms from looking too small or dark compared to using darker floor tiles. Are you also planning on painting the walls? I think painting the walls in a gray color would be also a quick and inexpensive way of making sure the whole space looks good. The current paint color looks like it's on the yellow side and I think your tiles, granite countertop, and the brown vanities would definitely look better if the yellow walls went gray.

Quality Calacatta is harder to obtain. You need to work with good suppliers for this. You can expect variation, as with any natural stone, but we are seeing, and perhaps due to the mining and availability right now, that there are strong variations. As for pits and chips, well that would not be acceptable. We are wrapping up a very long project and one of the baths is all Calacatta. The countertop will also be Calacatta (carefully selected from our trusted supplier and matched to the tile) but it isn't installed yet so no pictures. Here's some in progress photos. Note the third pic where we stacked the trims pieces in front of the field tile. The trims on the right were a good blend but the left was void of veining and not a good match. As a contractor with relationships and "buying power", we were able to shade all our tile in a dry lay out and return the unacceptable for replacements. You will always have SOME variance so you need to tolerate and expect this. But based on our experience we are able to discriminate between "expected" and unacceptable. It's a beautiful stone and dramatic statement if you can get it right. Good luck with your project.

As mentioned above the tile floor is gonna be the "issue" only because it would really limit the colors on the wall or even the vanity.. are you looking to only paint or is this gonna be a full remodel?

I'm a little concerned about the tile layout in the shower. I'm seeing small slivers on the sides of the large tiles.

Generally when laying out large scale tiles like this, I would expect to see the tile pattern wrap around the side walls from the back wall.

Here are some pictures showing what I mean.

It is much more pleasing to see the cut tile on the back wall wrap around and continue on the side wall and keeps a consistent pattern. I'm not seeing that on your side walls. They seem to have been tiled independently from the back wall.

What colour is the countertop you've chosen. That may dictate paint choice both on the wall and on the vanity.

I'd lean towards one of the darker colours in the pebble tile. Is that tile only going in the niche?

Well done to your husband. I see the strip of tile now in the bath. I still think I'd choose a colour from the pebble tile for the walls. I'd go darker than the greige on the vanity.

I assume you have a pretty mirror and light fixture chosen. You could also consider running some of your pebble tile as a small backsplash behind the counters since your counter doesn't have a backsplash piece.

Looks nice. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

@M V I ended up going with boring Pure White he needed to finish it before he left for his business trip. It's the kids bath so I'm not giving it too much thought for now. The mirror was a whole other nightmare and the backsplash as I didn't account for the drawers opening and closing when I bought the vanity. We ended up getting the closest match at Lowes. Overall it a million times better than the old bathroom. We bought an older house and need to switch out almost everything.
