Into December, this guy is bulking up
Comments (3)Well, it does look kind of unusual...kind of cool! I've still got hummingbirds here also. My first year for winter hummers!...See Moremet a guy with a cool way to keep tomatoes standing
Comments (1)I've seen this method in one of many books/phamplets that I have read over the years. Yes, the cattle panels would be a large up-front costs. I found some at a farm auction that had been cut to make teepees/trellises for peas and such, for much less than retail new price. I think I paid $50 for 50' of trellis and another 5-7 full panels. I paid more than the scrap metal people wanted to pay. Which is a thought for metal fencing/rebar or panels, check with your local scrapper and put them on a 'mission' to find things for you. Just expect to pay them more than they would get at the scrap yard. My son scraps and checks with me before he takes a load in. I've received lots of things, including greenhouse film that had never been opened (1 1/2 rolls). Great finds. Marla...See MoreWhy was I stressing; the cabinet guy didn't even show today
Comments (8)I think I would move on to someone else. It sounds like this guy has a poor work ethic, as well as being downright strange. I hope you didn't pay out a huge deposit. The extra stress isn't worth the money lost, or the toll on your health. By the way, I found hiring a builder caused WAY more stress than DIY building. My husband and I have built three homes. Two we built with our own sweat. The third we hired a builder. Never again. We sold that house, bought some land, and are in the process of building a log home, ourselves. Fortunately, we know some local trades people, who are wonderful to work with, for the large jobs that we need extra people for. Good luck. I'll be looking for a good cabinet maker also, as the quality of the ready made seems to be poor these days. Sandy...See MoreNew guy from adeniumcenter.com "cool blues"
Comments (13)Thanks for the quick response, and I'll follow your advice. PLEASE, post some photos of that cool blue-single when it flowers. I'm curious to see just how "blue" the blossoms really are. If the plant makes flowers that are anywhere near the colors shown in the photo, you'll have a winner. Good luck with the plants. BTW, that display of single, white/pastel pink blossoms is just stunning. It reminds me of Mr. Ko's "FOCUS". So much nicer than those gaudy, double, neon- pinks that are all too common. Less IS more. Frank...See MoreEmbothrium
