I finally got a chance to see Quartz Master yesterday. The veining seemed lighter in the Quartz Master 12x12 than the DuPont 12x12 piece, but that could have just been the part cut for the sample. Both are very realistic. Would like to see larger slabs next.

I can’t speak to the MSI stone, but we have the calacatta gold and really like it. It is very white and the veining is more subtle than the other fake marble quartzes we saw. It was expensive, but since we used it for our backsplash and counter we decided to splurge.

I chose a Corian Quartz Calacatta Villa which has gold veining—I had hard time at the builder’s design place—picked out a more cream tile but still not right—asking if I can just not get backsplash (even the 5” line of countertop) and just add one later… waiting to hear—this is production builder not custom so many options aren’t avaiable— what did you do?

I found this thread when searching on Houzz for Calacatta Ida, just saying thanks to everyone for the information sharing! I have a few quartz colors by MSI that I'm considering (and a few by Cosmos). Since I think this thread is about a year old, I was curious if there was an updated list of the MSI quartz colors that use Breton technology, so I emailed MSI. After a few frustrating email exchanges (the customer service rep on the email had no idea what I was asking for based on her replies) someone from MSI called me and said they do not give out the list because it is proprietary information She said once I narrow down my choices I can email them a list of colors I'm considering and they will let me know which of those use Breton. She also tried to tell me that it doesn't matter if it uses Breton, all MSI quartz are covered by the same warranty, but I feel if the product is superior to begin with (and fabricated and installed correctly) there is less chance of something going wrong and needing to use the warranty! Plus in my experience, many companies make it very hard to use the warranty, they come up with excuses. Just my opinion. Again thanks to all contributors on this post, very helpful with my decision making! :-)
