Why would you want such a big couch? Not many like to sit side by side on a bench seat or to be in the corner seat. A 3-seat sofa and several upholstered armchairs would be a better choice, IMO. People like to have a place to put their arms. Here is a smaller sofa and 4 swivel chairs.

Totally like your idea of deep L-shape. We have a deep seat U-shape with chaise and love it. Similar looking space as you. Our guests are like family and lounge or sit comfortably on it. We also have one chair and ottoman in the room. I don’t like the above pic. Too formal for me. Who sits in chairs in the living room and watches tv like that?

That is pretty large. What about 2 sofas and 2 chairs?

What are wall dimensions? If space is 12 x 12 you will need to “float” a sectional to keep walkways open. That size sectional is way too big for this room. Give me dimensions of room and I can define specifically the max size.

In guessing from plan the total length of room appears to be about 22’ long. You state wall for TV is 12’. Does that include opening on end of wall. What is total width of this room. With long rooms and french doors you will need about 3’ in front of doors for clearance. So sectional is likely too big. A sofa with a couple swivel chairs would work better and TV would be better on opposite wall so you have whole wall as backdrop and when working in the kitchen you can see TV. That would leave space on other end of room for bookcases and possible play area or reading nook.
