Craftsman GT5000 26 HP 48 in. Hydro - Questions
Comments (9)I had the tractor checked out and determined that it needed a new engine. Went ahead and got the tractor. The new engine (27hp B&S Professional) came in and got installed earlier this week. Perfect fit, tractor looks sweet. Now for the questions: 1. Is there a way or a mod, to slide/move the seat further back? Already adjusted back as much as possible with the knob under the seat. 2. I notice that when the tractor is moving forward or backward and the brake is applied, it will come to a rather abrupt stop, unlike when stopping a car. Is this normal? With my old Craftsman, it would stop rather quick and not jerky, but with that tractor the shift lever didn't return to neutral, like the new design that I have now. 3. When shifting into neutral from either forward or reverse, the tractor seems to creep ever so slightly, either forward or backward, depending on which direction it was originally going. Is this normal or do I need to perform some type of adjustment? 4. Just curious if there is way to adjust the brake? Feels different to me than my other Craftsman, but that might be because of the new design? My other tractor seemed to grab right away when the brake was pressed. 5. What's the best/easiest way to level/measure the deck, just follow the manual? Any comments appreciated. Thanks...See MorePrinter HP Deskjet 940c, color ink issue, can u help?
Comments (6)Well, it wasn't necessarily the cartridge. After many repeated paper jams, the thing died. STINKERS, I'm only half way thru the job. Now I have to pay to get the rest printed somewhere and then buy a new printer. DH ran out and luckily got the the ink store right before they were locking the door! So a new ink, no printer. What luck :( Thank goodness we have a little independant print shop right around the corner. I can run over tomorrow AM and print it out myself. Still, the entire venture has eaten all the profits of the job. GGG...See MoreHP printer issue
Comments (1)Are the labels Avery? Why not download the Avery template and try it. Not a lot of work. I fixed the same problem on my wife's computer by going into the label setup and changing the spacing. A new printer may not solve your problem. The printer is just printing what the computer tells it to print....See MoreHP Printer problem
Comments (11)Nothing in the print queue. Checked out HP Solutions. Everything is updated. I've rebooted several times. I do have the disk, but hope to not have to do that. Those were all good ideas. I went back to the manual and looked through the index, and sure enough, there it was: "delete faxes from memory." Even though I haven't sent any faxes I followed the directions and, voilà, it prints! But I still hear that noise that I thought was a paper jam. No jam, front or back. I went back to HP Solutions and kept hunting until I found a neat little video that shows how to open the Control Panel to look for a jam there. I tried and it seems like it will take a real hard tug; it doesn't just come open. Now what, should I pull hard on it and hope it opens? Sue...See Morebengz6westmd
