When my husband and I first moved to our new house, a corner of our yard was completely overgrown. One plant that had taken hold in the worst way was Asian Honeysuckle - and invasive species. Some past owners (not the people we bought the house from) thought it would look pretty. Honeysuckle does have its charm, but not when it takes over EVERYTHING. The roots shoot out all over the yard and pop up new bushes everywhere. By the time we started doing battle with honeysuckle, it had produced four other bushes. Keep in mind we fought the bush and its minions for four years. We kept weakening them by stripping the bark, and cutting off the main roots leading into the stump. Every time the stump shot up new branches, we chopped them off. Finally, one day after four years of battle, and a very weakened bush, I began digging up all around the bush. Every time I hit a major root, I cut it. Eventually my hubby came home from work, and took over the digging for me. Three hours later, we had two large stumps pulled out of the ground and hauled to the curb for removal. I knew that wouldn't be enough. About two weeks later, I started digging up the entire space where the bush had been and pulled up every root I could find. Some of the roots were actually shooting up new bushes, which I killed off. We have since discovered that one more Asian Honeysuckle bush still lives. It is growing in the middle of another invasive species - buckthorn. The buckthorn has stayed put so I haven't attacked it or cut it down. But I might have to in order to do away with the Asian Honeysuckle. On the upside - we planted a duke blueberry bush where the main Asian Honeysuckle used to be. We also put in a raised vegetable garden next to where the honeysuckle used to be. It is a shade garden in part because of the buckthorn growing next to it, which is another reason why I haven't cut the buckthorn down. All I can tell you is that you have indeed found a new hobby. I know what you are going through, and I am sorry it is wasting so much of your time. My hubby and I considered using Round Up or the like on the bush, but we just couldn't bring ourselves to do it. We were afraid of killing our black raspberries if we did. It retrospect, four years is a long time to fight one bush. Do what you have to do to get rid of your poplar.

You might get more feedback on the Harvest Forum, but tomatoes in a pressure canner should be better quality than water bath, not less, and certainly not mush. Can you give more detail? Raw pack or hot pack? Crushed or whole? Processing time and pressure? Headspace? There are too many variables to tell what went wrong without more information. Blue222q: thank you for the compliment on the kitchen! I made a mistake in my measurements because we went through a few modifications on the island and I wasn't reading the most recent modifications when I posted the measurements. The wood counters are 24 1/2 inches each, and the quartz is 78 1/2 inches, giving a total of 127 inches. I love the wood counters. I have a lot of counter space around the perimeter of my kitchen (which is the same quartz as the island) and it really needed something to break up all the white marble looking quartz. Plus I have grayish marble floor tiles. The wood adds warmth to it and I really like the 2 surfaces. I have only had it for a few weeks now but I absolutely am grateful my kitchen designer thought of the wood. It is raised a little above the quartz which I suggest as well. So the wood is not flush with the quartz, intentionally. I could have gone with a thicker wood but for every inch you add on a wood counter, the cost really goes up and I didn't think I really needed a thicker piece of wood. The quartz was put down first in the middle of the island and then the wood on the ends. So the wood is not sitting on top of the quartz. The guys that put in the quartz, ran white caulk(I think that is what it is) on the seam where the wood meets up with the quartz. You don't notice it at all. I'm assuming the wood counter is glued onto the cabinets in the island but I wasn't around when the wood was installed. The book match is good and I'm assuming the more pattern your quartz has, the more you can hide the seam. I don't have a lot of pattern and you do see a very slight line that runs horizontal in the middle of the quartz. You really don't notice it. I'll have to take more photos for you to see it.

Please help me! We have just installed 4 days ago, I thought I was removing extra glue and used magic eraser then soft scrub with bleach since I’ve seen it here so many times then with bad keeper friend. Omg what have I done!!!
