Condolences for Jude31
Comments (11)Thanks for posting this here Rob! I never think of the Conversations side of the CF. Jude, my heart is breaking for your loss. Thanks for letting me know of Bob's passing. Deepest, deepest condolences and good wishes to you, dear friend. I'm glad your daughter is staying with you for a while. Comments (9)tt be sure not to actually say you do anything wrong :) It's one of those trick questions that you have to trick right back. Like "What are three of your weaknesses?" You want to say, "When focused on a project I am often so interested in seeing it completed that I forget to take my breaks or lunch". Etc. I always hated writing my own review...lazy bosses ask for this (I don't care what you say, it's what all my lazy bosses did...the good ones wrote it and then asked for my comments). You could take this as an opportunity to ask them to communicate better with you by saying something like "I don't ask often enough for feedback on XYZ from my direct supervisor. With more feedback I could perhaps preform at an even higher level than I do now" (Or in english...if you'd tell me what the hell you want from me I'd actually do it dummy) :oP Umm use version one if you do take that track LOL...See MoreI really hope things get better this month and next
Comments (2)I understand what you mean. The last couple of years at this time of year, I had dozens of Gulf Fritillary caterpillars. Still nothing. On the bright side, the long tailed skippers finally showed up. No giving up! I might just become nocturnal. I am finding a lot of moth caterpillars. Most of the back of my house along the porch is lined with 4 o’clock. It’s a lot of fun to see about 10 hummingbird moth and assorted smaller Sphinx moth like Tersa after dark. Wish my eyesight would be better for that. And they are fast....See MoreWhat's the word/words I'm looking for?
Comments (44)My friend went to the gym early on day and got on a treadmill. Some guy to,d him to get off “his” treadmill. Sheesh. I like to think I'm fairly well balanced, but I'm pretty sure I'd come unglued if someone told me to get off "his" treadmill at the gym! On the other hand, anyone who would say such a thing is clearly just not right in the head, so treading carefully is probably called for ... although I know in reality I'd probably tell the guy in no uncertain terms to get stuffed. As has been stated above, this is the sort of stuff that discourages me (and obviously others) from going to the gym. I'm not much of a group participant anyway, but just knowing that there is some unspoken/unwritten code of conduct about where I should and should not work out is very off-putting to me. Of course, I would never plop down in the middle of the personal training area, or do anything else that common sense clearly dictates not to do -- but having to navigate my way through some seating hierarchy in a group class just seems ridiculous to me. You sit where you want to sit, based upon when you arrive. (Or at least that's the way it should be in my opinion.) If we're all paying to participate in a gym environment, isn't that the most equitable and reasonable thing to do?...See Moredsgts
