Thank you Kimram :) Which "mood" glass did you choose? Yes, I clean all three materials with the 50/50 solution. Remember, I don't have a shower as mentioned in by the OP. Yes the grout lines are sealed as well as the glass and tumbled travertine. I didn't want to darken the travertine so we used a water based sealer, not an enhancer. Same for the granite countertop. Sealing glass tiles before grouting is important because the fine lines and "crazing" in some glasses WILL be stained by the grout. I don't believe you can seal polished travertine. The sealer can't penetrate. My bathroom floor is 18" porcelain. I use a steam mop on all the tile in my house, including the travertine in the entry. I use a microfiber cloth and the water/alcohol to wipe down the travertine and glass on the walls, on the granite, wipe down appliances, windows...it's become my go to cleaner. Use a spray on granite polisher ever once in awhile. Good luck :) Can't wait to see your beautiful finished bathroom. Monica

My Mother, bless her, wanted to impress the new son in law. LOL! She bought polish and did every floor in the house. Stone, laminate, tile and porcelain all were a mess. I grabbed my bottle of Hoover Steam Vac & FloorMAX bare floor cleaner plus the Mr. Clean spray mop, stopped at Target on my way, bought 10 extra microfiber refills and a bottle of wine for me because Mom was well... I was afraid of the Hoover being to abrasive with its brushes plus the Mr. Clean solid blue microfiber is impressive. I used 1.25 ounces diluted in a quart of water. It was amazing. I sprayed it heavier than I normally would have. OMG it saved the day without breaking my back. I noticed after a few days, almost a week, in the high traffic areas a few darkening sticky spots. It was dirt sticking to the degrading polish buildup that had been left behind. So I broke out my mop and through one of the microfiber refills on moms spray mop, I mopped with the Hoover mixture, Spraying heavier and had Mom dry with hers behind me. The second mopping with dry mopping it dry behind took all the polish off. We had the whole five bed three bath house done in 45 minutes. She has no carpet Just rugs you can roll up. All of her floors looked better than they had in years. My husband, because mom is freakishly immaculate, has always said, "I would actually eat something off your moms floor." My new brother in law calls mom's house "The Museum". You can't make men understand she waited till all five kids were gone before redecorating. :D

A white vinegar 50/50 solution should work, but might bleach out the grout colour. I would use a neutral PH cleaner. Just check the label...

Thanks for your comment and bottom line suggestion, Linda. My sister and close neighbor have been advising me of the same thing. Accordingly, I have been doing more investigating into how to easily clean the unglazed porcelain and also checking into other flooring options. My neighbor suggests Marmoleum, which would be appropriate to our 1926 home. My sister-in-law has Marmoleum in her kitchen and strongly recommends it, as she finds it hard to clean. It also does not have the longevity of tile. I have been searching for a matte glazed porcelain floor tile and finally met with some success yesterday. There is a good bit of such tile in black and white, but not much in other colors. Yesterday at Daltile, I found a matte glazed porcelain hex in some colors including a couple greys and a greyish green, which is what I'm after. It comes in various sizes including the 2" hex I am after and can be paired with a 1" square black for the perimeter border I'd like to have. Daltile carries this tile, which is made by Cepac and it can be found on the Cepac website. Good luck!
