I’ve always like them! Such a pretty glow, and pretty bases. I think they look nice on a smallish table in a corner, like a piece of art.

I appreciate them, but I would not want one - it would not fit in with my decor. I think they are great for someone else, however, and I do appreciate seeing them. I wanted one in the 1970s but never got one.

No, only if it’s a real Tiffany. Every one I’ve seen has been kind of cheap looking. Maybe there are better quality ones, I’d like them.

No. I don't like shades or fixtures that color the emitted light to a shade other than white.

I'm the same as Lars, I can appreciate the workmanship, but they wouldn't go with my house.

They are pretty and some can be gorgeous. But personally I stick with ceiling fixtures -- they don't take up table space, I don't knock them over, trip over their cord, or dust them. (well, rarely need to dust them)

My house is lodge look. Many of the neighbors have them. I considered getting one or two...until I got kittens. ☺

I love them but would not want one. Maybe some other stained glass item, but not a light fixture. Maybe a table lamp or other decorative item.

They are pretty but don’t fit my decor. I have a friend who buys them at flea markets and garage sales and loves them.

I like them. I think they make a room look cozy. I finally splurged and got one for the table next to my chair in the family room. I plan to get one to hang over the kitchen table one day too. I don’t like harsh lighting.

I'm older now (72) but when I was younger (30's) my friend and I took a class in stained glass. We learned to cut glass and make pretty things.

I loved the class. As we got better, we moved from making little things to eventually making lamps. I loved it, picked a Tiffany lamp to make. It was very complicated and difficult to make but I eventually made the shade. Bought a Tiffany base for the shade.

We always had a contemporary house. I had my lamp in the foyer near the front door. When lit at night it was beautiful. Still is. I love Tiffany lamps and they are a piece of art. Fit in any type of style, just like a sculpture or painting.

No. I like pure white light and don't want it colored. Also much prefer lighting that is as inconspicuous as possible. Not into statement light sources.

I love lamps and use them almost exclusively as I much prefer soft lighting. Mine are mostly quite plain and unobtrusive though.

I like the Tiffany look but the lamps would not look good on my tables. I did install a modern version on my ceiling. It looks dark here. Better after I installed brighter bulbs.

The Tiffany lamps I automatically think of are the ones with round shades with flowers or dragonflies. Tiffany did make other styles like the pond lilies, and the arts and crafts lamps. I think the arts and crafts lamps would probably look okay in some more modern settings.

I think when you say "real ones" you don't really mean the original ones, do you?

There were wonderful Tiffany style lamps made in the first half of the century. We had one of those over our dining room table in 1960. The hanging lamp doesn't colour the light -- the bulbs are exposed -- but the light shines through the stained glass when you are looking AT the lamp.

When I say real one, I do mean an original.

I once worked at a place that had two genuine Tiffany lamps with custom made designs for that place in the twenties. They were beautifully made things. Of course they fit the room perfectly. I could admire them but they dont fit my world.

Those antique Tiffany lamps (good condition) are valued around $100,000-150,000 a piece. I hope they were in cases.
