Solid white oak over radiant? Need flooring help!

Hi all!

I’m starting to really lose steam. I’m looking for a simple, pretty white oak for a new build. I’m told it’s prudent to only use engineered woods over radiant. Here’s the rub: each time I choose a brand/wood, I find a million horror stories about it online. I’m beginning to think engineered just isn’t that awesome?

So, Im starting to wonder if I can use solid white oak over radiant? I live in a high desert climate (Northern New Mexico) if that matters. I need to make a flooring choice soon and would love to hear any thoughts on solid wood over radiant heat, or other suggestions (great flooring brands, etc.)

Thank you!!
