@leela4 Thank you! The paint is samples of Valspar paint from Lowes. They're great because they come in every imaginable color so you don't need to do any large-batch mixes. Also, they're really cheap: about bucks a pot. One of the mistakes I made was kinda winging it in terms of the buildings. But in general I layered up the sections from the background to the details. The wall papers were originally block prints so it's almost a similar tactic. My mistake was not planning out in advance what the buildings would look like in terms of the 'interior details.' That forced me to re measure and fiddle with proportions a lot. Technically, it doesn't repeat. The original wall paper would have been updated as new buildings were built in Paris. My buildings are all take though! I'm sure a classical architect would look at them and cry! For the next sections, I'll be better organized!

Wow, so excited to see such good and varied inputs on my request! Thanks @Flo Mangan - I am now certainly going for a ladder shelf for the corner. I am not sure of moving the desk away from its existing place for precisely the reasons @functionthenlook mentioned - my desk job can sometimes result in 8-9 hours, and I do plenty of video calls throughout the day. So not only is it nice for me to have a view (which BTW Flo is right, it is limited since the windows are a bit above my eye level (photo of the view below)) but it is also pleasant to have light on my face. Further, the remaining space in the room comes in handy when the occasional extra guests stay over and the sofa beds need to be pulled out.
