I read your other thread, I was not sure how it looks, this photo helps a lot. I received quite a bit more information from Houzz.com by searching for âÂÂcorner sinkâÂÂ. Info from both sites make me think more from dish storage area and cooking habits point of views in addition to space utilization. We are planning to store dishes in bottom drawers of the island; it may be too far from new sink location. We both cook, I am concerned about corner sink may create congestion. Need to go back to the drawing board and rehash the design. Thank you again for the help.

I had a sink tucked up against a corner in my first house. It was a tiny u-shaped kitchen and that setup worked great except for the rather bizarre decision to place the DW on the opposite corner instead of next to the sink. Very hard to load a DW when the door drops down across the front of the sink! Never could understand why they did that when there was plenty of room to the side of the sink. Anyway, the only issue that I had (besides the ridiculous placement of the DW) was that it made it difficult for more than one person to work at the sink. But the kitchen was tiny and really only a one butt kitchen anyway. Otherwise I found the corner counter was a great place to keep the dish rack. Found some pictures for you. Hope they help. Hello @Janie Gibbs, Thanks No rush... I've been obsessively looking at your kitchen. It really does make so much use out of every inch. I am planning my kitchen right now and I have a few questions hoping you can help. 1-From the left wall of sink to the wall of the fridge what are the measurements? 2-Do you have the actual measurements of the finished corner sink hack? Trying to map out my renovation and want to plan accordingly 3-What is the model of dishwasher? Do you recommend? 4-Do you think that's the biggest sink you can fit in the corner space or can it go a bit bigger? 5-Do you think a slide in range would make sense? Is there any issues with your range being so close to sink? 6-Thank you so much your kitchen really inspires me

"considering Brizo bridge Artesso in polished nickel" I do not like a bridge faucet. I realize others like them, but the bridge faucet is something I could not live with. Every time you have to turn off, turn on, adjust the hot, adjust the cold, it's with two hands, two handles. As opposed to a single-handle faucet that you could do all those things with the back of one hand if that hand is chicken-y for example. Then you have the forest-of-fixtures look - the two faucets and the side spray, and then you might also have a hot/cold water dispenser, and a soap dispenser. All holes that need to be cut in your counter, and then to be cleaned around, rather than one or two holes. Speaking of the side spray, they are not as good as a faucet with an integrated sprayer. The pressure isn't as good, you have to keep holding the handle to stay on spray, and plumbers will say that a side sprayer is more repair-prone. A polished nickel finish is higher-maintenance than polished chrome. If you love it, and are fine with that, go for it, because it's really pretty. Polished nickel needs polishing periodically or it gets dull and tarnished. This occurs more over time, as the top coat wears off. I have beautiful polished nickel faucets in my bathrooms. They tarnish, though they didn't for the first year or two. Getting out the silver polish in those nooks and crannies is not a chore I wanted, and I often just live with the dull look. If I were doing it again, I'd get polished chrome, as my polished chrome kitchen faucet is several years old and looks like the day it was installed. For a traditional faucet that is also practical and beautiful, I recommend the Kohler Artifacts. The sprayer has 3 settings, a berry spray for gentle rinsing of berries, a regular spray, and a sweep spray in a fan shape so that you can rinse a dish in one motion. The sprayer head is ergonomic and feels nice in the hand.
